One thing Ben still needs to work on

Ben loves to spread the ball around, and if someone is double covered he don't give a **** and will try to force it in there. That's what bugs me about him. Ben can be better than he already is if he didn't try to play like a wild man. Wants to make that perfect throw with the receivers tip toes barely in bounds. Like the Santonio lowB repuS catch, and the countless others he's thrown to receivers like that. At the same time it sucks losing Bryant. I am not sold on Coates. I would like to see them give Ayers a shot. I think they are keeping him out for a reason as to not showcase him at this time.

That last throw that drew the PI. That is still on the coaches. Ben is not the coach of this team. He is the QB. You call 33 lead no audible. Sorry. Who runs this team?

Ben can't audible to a play?

I didn't like the toss up to Hamilton when we had the 3rd and 3 near the endzone.
Seems like sending 5 out and letting Ben read who is the most open for a direct
throw is a much higher percentage play than zeroing in on 1 guy on a high risk pass.

Also not a fan of those long bombs on 3rd and short that ben tends to throw. Seems
like going for the first down and getting a new set of downs is a more likely way of scoring.
exactly. hit nail on head. I was screaming that at the tv. just go for the 1st, please.

Yeah I don't know why Ben would want to throw that kind of pass to Holmes in the Super Bowl?????
You do remember the pass he threw to Holmes before that was an easier catch and he dropped it.

Ben when we're successful the coaches when we aren't. We're not sure what the call was or who made it are we?

Same can be said for those that bash Ben constantly...It's Tomlin and Haley when we are successful and Ben when we are not. Watch the game again and Ben reads off his QB wrist coach before the play, that means the play was sent in from Haley.

So Ben has to be smarter than the coaches...imagine that. Why should our OC have to actually call a correct play, Ben is supposed to know better. Why do we have an OC if he can't call plays?

Maybe because the defense is playing to stop the short pass for the first down?

You have Antonio and a bunch of inconsistent playmakers. Steelers are missing Bryant, Wheaton, and Coates when he was paying well.

So Ben knows what Coates is capable of, and I think they are trying to will Coates back to being productive.

As the O isn't producing the amount of points per game that was envisioned.

Maybe Coates will come on, and maybe he won't.

we'll see

When the 30 ppg was talked about, we thought we had Bryant, Wheaton, Bey, Green.

its surprising to say that Ben is missing DHB too, he became a reliable WR when needed, especially when AB went down

Ben was a hero for throwing two deep tds on third and fourth down vs the Skins.

None of us know what plays he audibles to or out of, the no huddle is mostly him, that's about it

I'm not going to fault Coates for "not going up for the ball" when he about has his head ripped off by the guy going thru, over, and on top of him to make a play on the ball. The pass to Hamilton, Bengals blitzed, it was picked up, but Ben still didn't have a lot of time to survey the field, he took the one on one coverage the D had shown pre-snap. The pass to Brown at the end, perfectly placed, had it not been for the CB holding him it's 7, nail in the coffin. As it ended up, it was the nail anyway, took enough time off the clock and gave us a first down.

The Bengal CB's were holding ALL FREAKING GAME, it wasn't until the second half that the refs started to call these penalties.

I have no issue with any of Ben's decisions on Sunday, when he forced it to Brown into double coverage, he literally had Brown and Green out on patterns, both were covered, and he gave his superstar WR an opportunity. Bengals made a good play on the ball.

it was a good thing Ayers took Rogers uniform from him for the second half......hopefully he gets his own helmet Christmas Day

yeah, I know I am repeating my jokes

roughly 28 other teams would give their left nuts to have Ben as their QB....***** all you like, the Steelers are ******* lucky to have him

Agreed. Bens game is his game. Some of his habits have been around since he was a rookie. Why change? He's throwing from the pocket, imo has the best play action pass, and yeah he does take stupid shots downfield from time to time. But every great athlete takes stupid chances like that
