On This Day…..2009.

Speaking of this day. I was using a metaphor for the team evolving into a modern day approach.

I used come into the light Carol Anne… to ol girl.

Come to find out she died on February 1st.(1988)

Things of the odd!

I don't know what the original poster was posting???

I'll celebrate regardless, and know
Coolie will explain things later......................................

My only concern is to the intensity of the celebration........ is it a 1-G-string or a 2-G-string type celebration..???

If that were Brady, Manning, Mahomes, etc that made that throw or made that drive there'd be an ESPN 30 for 30 documentary about it, but since it was Ben it's rarely talked about.
the drive the throw....we still get stories on Montana's "john candy" drive, this one they act like it was 3rd Q 35 yard drive for a FG

Yep and Ben was under a ton of pressure that drive, and put it right on the money the play before the TD throw, Holmes just dropped that one.

Great throw..incredible catch and foot work. The catch is more impressive that's why the throw isn't talked about that much. Most competent NFL starters make that throw. Difficulty scale 1 to 10 it's a 6. Now does every QB make that throw in that situation? No, the pressure is a big factor as well.

I think it was more difficult than a 6, any harder it's out of the back of the endzone, any softer it's picked or knocked away. That drive started with a 10 yard holding penalty too, best drive in Super Bowl history.

Steelers won that game on February 1. Yesterday was Feb 1. Thus my title on the thread. 🥂

I couldn’t get anything to play or pull up….. on my original reading.

I see now they are working, so thank you Sir !!!!!!!!!

I get it now that I can see it. Clearly I’ve spent time in many zones / frames / worlds, finally Im here.

Yes SIR, I’ve had countless arguments of why wasn’t BEN made the MVP ?

Some said it should have been Harrison and my reply was “maybe so, but definitely not stoniO”

Ben was truly the MVP and anyone who watched that game knew it rightfully so.

Most competent starters could make the perfect throw over three defenders in a spot where only Holmes could make the play, oh yeah, with the Super Bowl on the line?

Yep. Two of the best plays ever in the SB. Ben throw was perfect.....for the reasons that you stated.

Maybe a 6 during a training camp session …but a 9 during the last seconds of a Super Bowl.

Ben and Santonio were lights out under all the pressure. Another Steeler great WR.
