Depending on the severity it can have you out for weeks up to months. Which would explain his lack of training camp /preseason participation.

So with a ice there a injection here a stretching there a insert here a splint there everywhere a rest rest

he should be back on the farm in no time.

:biggrin1:

Not kidding. This worked for me. I imagine his is a little more severe...

Honestly they might as well IR him now. All that will happen is he will start to practice and it will flair up. He will get into a game and make some good plays and then the announcer will say Vance McDonald has went to the locker room. I'm not blaming him nor am I saying he is faking it. I'm just saying some people cannot play pro football. He can't.

I've had Plantar fasciitis on and off for the past four years. It's a very painful situation and many times very difficult to treat because circulation in the legs often hampers the healing process. I've done everything from stretching, wearing a boot, strassburg sock, deep tissue massaging of calves, cryo therapy, custom molded orthotics......and it's still there although no where near as bad as it was initially. Some people recover quickly and for some it's a chronic issue. Hopefully he can overcome it! It's certainly a pain in the ***. I'm a runner and when it flares up bad I can't run....very frustrating.

Jesse James is not one to be screwed with......Try to take his job and give him some competition, and you will be stricken with China Doll Syndrome

It's no walk in the park. Took me a better part of a year to get over it.
Hurt just to walk, let alone run.

Slept in a boot just so I could move in the morning.

LaDarius McDonald will need to rest it for a while.

I had it a few years ago. Not as bad as you but very painful and took about 6 months of exercises and tons of Motrin to get rid of it.

I, too, have had to deal with plantar, it sucks, and I probably didn't have it nearly as bad as some if you. Took me a good 4-5 months to get over it

Holy **** he's way too young. I had it in both feet...after turning 50. It lasted 2 years, and it sucks.

This guy is a walking injury report. Wonder if Samuels could play TE?

Wouldn't expect more than 4-6 games for him this season, but I also already didn't expect more than that. Just a matter of when and how long he wear the Duce suit.

Would've liked to have seen a better option brought in during the offseason rather than counting on an injury prone player would stay healthy. Now he gets another year on that bloated conract.

It's time the Steelers actually consider drafting a TE early, but it's also been time for that for awhile

Once again we ride with the outlaw!

Plantar Fasciitis takes 6-12 weeks to rehab. So we're either looking at week 1, or week 8 after the bye (missing 6 games).

He started off in a boot for a week, then was out of it. Boots are used for rehab to stabilize the foot so the soft tissue can get a break and repair. Since he was only in a boot for a week, and not longer, it means his injury is less severe. I'd say they won't but him on IR and he would be back for the week 2 game at the latest.

Not what we needed to start the year. Guess we are stuck with Jesse James at TE again. We will need to draft someone high next year

Dude is gone after this year. They'd be fools to even think of signing him to an extension. He is as unreliable as they come. I'd be fine cutting him if there was someone else that came available after cut downs because he'll play 8 games max this year.
