Okung coming for a visit

From what I hear he's holding out for $11-13 million per year, elite LT money.
Well I guess he like Primante Bros. And wanted to take a ride on the incline. Cause it wouldn't take an accountant to figure out the Steelers weren't paying 11-13 million on a LT. Russell they have this site called overthecap.com might want to have a looksy.

Forget the pipedream, he aint coming back

"Broncos agreed to terms with LT Russell Okung, formerly of the Seahawks, on a five-year contract.

ESPN's Josina Anderson reports the deal is worth $10.6 million per season, while Rapsheet says it could push $12 million. It's a massive chunk of change for a player who is often hurt — Okung is currently recovering from shoulder surgery — and has frequently underperformed. It speaks to how difficult it is to find a left tackle. Okung's addition means the Broncos will be moving on from Ryan Clady, either via trade or release. Clady missed all of 2015 with a torn ACL. Stop-gap Ryan Harris signed with the Steelers, so the Broncos will have little room for error with Okung's fragile health. Mar 17 - 4:09 PM

And that would be why he didn't sign with the Steelers and left other visits without signing. The guy got a lot of money and didn't have to pay an agent a commission to get it so props to him. Have fun worrying if Sanchez is going to run into your *** or not.

Man, the Broncos will be lost without Clady...

Ok got it.... ohh well he ain't worth that.

So, I'm confused. You wanted Clady to take a cut in salary. He did not, so you sign Okung? Not sure what the exact numbers on salary for Clady (I think I read it was 9 mil and change). But if I had to pick between tackles I would have probably gone with Clady. Unless of course the injury is worse than reported. Now rumor has it they are trying to trade Clady. Hmmm....

I'm of the opinion that Ranger Al, who showed his mettle in combat, will be every bit as serviceable as the Cladys and Okungs of the world once he gets his wheels. He learns from a master and his progress to this point shows that. It wouldn't surprise me in the least to see him make a Pro Bowl in the next year or two, nor would it surprise me if he becomes an All Pro. OK, we'd all be ecstatic.
