Free agent OT Russell Okung is still high on Lions... but he is now headed to Pittsburgh for a Steelers visit. Also NYG, SF, Seattle in mix

Two things with Okung, $$$$ and injuries.

Other than that, I'd love to add him to that O-line.

Yeah, I was very surprised by this considering I feel like he would demand top dollar. But maybe the injuries have brought his price down.

I also feel like Beachum isn't getting what he thought he would on the open market .

Not a chance. He must like a restaurant in Pittsburgh. No way they can put up that money. Seattle has a ton of space and he played great for them.

If the FO is going to bring in some of these guys it shows they are serious about shoring up the team to make a few more runs while we still have Ben.

Peyton is gone, Brady will follow. Its Ben's time to run this ******* league!!!

Ryan Harris - T - Free Agent

Free agent OT Ryan Harris will visit the Steelers.
Pittsburgh's interest in Harris suggests Kelvin Beachum won't be re-signed. The Steelers are also scheduled to visit with Russell Okung next week.

good work Colbert bring Beachum's price down and get him to sign that 1 year show what you can do deal, and if he walks the talk then next year lock him down.
Now with thw bryant suspenaion, Bring in wallace he got paid so money cant be a issue he and ben had great sucess at vet 1.5-2 1 yr deal it could be enough to still have a lethal O

I remember reading somewhere years ago the steelers was his favorite team growing up. I like the idea of some vet guys with talent being added to the mix.

Mike Adams might be done in Pittsburgh if they are looking for vets. Villanueva could be the swing tackle for one or two years while polishing his abilities (let's remember this is a new position for him)

He's openly stated the Steelers were his favorite team growing up. Maybe we get the "it's on my bucket list" discount?... Hmmmmm?!

If Okung is high on Detroit, then he's just looking for a payday.
There can't be any other reason.

Can't we just save the money, and draft some OL?

Chris Hairston - T - Free Agent

Free agent LT Chris Hairston will visit the Steelers.
Pittsburgh is looking to replace Kelvin Beachum at left tackle. The Steelers are also hosting Russell Okung and Ryan Harris. Hairston finished 56th out of 76 qualifiers in PFF's year-end tackle grades.

and here's our man. Low cost replacement.

Hairston seems like he would be Villy's backup, guess it's standard for the Stillers to at least rummage through the bargain bin...and Munch does have a history of polishing up players to make them shine.

I do like the fact he's only 26. He can also play guard and tackle, sounds like a pretty nice fit as a swing guy if they want to go with Villaneuva as the starter.

Wouldn't you guys, just **** yourself if he would sign here.

I honestly don't know why he even came in for a visit...maybe it was just to see our trophy's.

Come on big guy, be part of the best of the best
