Official Whine, ***** & Moan Thread After Day 2 of the Draft

As far as getting Ben some bigger recievers, don't discount the fact Donte Moncreif was added to the fold. Neither Moncrief (6-2, 216) nor JuJu (6-1, 215) are lacking in size.

Having said that, I'd welcome adding another tall, fast WR somewhere in the remaining six picks, there are still a few potential studs on the board, ie Anthony Johnson and Antoine Wesley.

There were a lot of of players drafted between #52 and #66 that would have been good picks, Bush will need to be a Pro Bowler before I’m convinced trading up was a good move.

I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt for passing on Winovich as he slid a lot further than I ever would have expected... and then New England picked him. I hope that doesn’t come back to haunt us and Dupree steps up his game.

Johnson’s return stats are insane, they must have really liked him. That’s a big wait-and-see.

A small school but overall TDs were no stranger to him.

A small, small school guy vs. A big, big school guy. How often does New England miss on a guy like Winovich. Who knows what will happen but if I'm betting I take Winovich as a solid starting Pro and our guy out of the league in two or three years
The Patriots have had plenty of guys drafted in the first 3 rounds that have been busts. Dom Easley, Chad Jackson, Cyrus Jones Ras I Dowling come to mind.

Winovich seems to be the flavour of the month around here I would of been happy if we drafted him but lets not make out he is all world or anything just yet

same should be said about us drafting johnson 3 round too early
if you told people a couple days ago that the steelers were going to draft johnson in the top of the third round they would have lost their mind.
now that they actually did, all of a sudden he was a great pick and future antonio brown...................lol fans

I don't know, I guess it is just how things are packaged up. Waited a long tie to get to their pick and had about 5 names I would have felt like, wow, they gave a second and still got a second. They pretty much stole Devin Bush. Then they announced a guy I've never heard of that hasn't even been mentioned here. And that doesn't mean that he won't be good. But lets not talk about AB. AB was a sixth round pick. This guy was sold to the fans as being "essentially" a second round pick by Colbert. Well then take a guy who everyone knows is a second round grade. He could be very good, I don't know, you don't know and they don't know. But he isn't big, he isn't fast and he hasn't played against competition. Those are three pretty ****** big strikes.

Sask there is fast and there is quick. Multiple ways to get the job done. Kid can get open. I always have a wait and see with the smaller school prospects. So i get the concern for the pick.

But if you factor in his special teams ability I think there is enough there to be intrigued. Perhaps he is more of the Sanders type WR over AB. For a third I could live with that too. If he is a solid starter I am happy. We'll see.............
