Official Steelers/Bengals Wildcard Predictions

Steelers 27, bungholes 20

No running game for us making us one dimensional again in these playoffs since I don't expect much from two guys with very little playing experience so the onus is on Ben to carry this football team. I'm hoping that good Ben shows up and not what we've seen the last couple weeks and if he does I like our chances to pull this out. He has to spread the ball around though and not force it to brown which has gotten him into trouble recently. Bryant has to step it up as well as Wheaton.

Since we seem to own this team in their stadium I will make this prediction:

Steelers 27
Bengals 17

Not only will we win but Fitz will go for 100 today. Ya, I said it!

Steelers 38
Bungholes 27

My wife has all the solid projectiles put away, the 'Towel' is in place and "The Shirt" is ready to do it's thing.
Ben's not always at his best in the playoffs and with questions at RB along with a windy rainy night....

Stillers...20
Bungles.16

Now I will go administer some tranquilizer inducing liquids, say a prayer at the alter of the Football Gods and begin to eyeball my fingernails for some sacrificial fodder when needed.

GO STILLERS

It's funny how a narrative gets going and pretty soon it's just accepted. The perception is Seattle has a very good defense going into the playoffs while the Steelers D is considered suspect to be kind. The fact is, however, we are only giving up 2.7more points per game than are the Seahawks. They are leading the league at 17.2 per game and we are giving up 19.9.... not even a field goal difference. We are .2 points per game behind Houston who also has one of the better defenses. In other words, we aren't as bad as people think.

Steelers ended the season playing 5 straight backup QBs. Osweiler, McCarron, Hasselbeck, Mallett, Davis. The streak continues with MCCarron. Last time he was thrown in there and did OK. This time Steelers have film on him and are prepared.

I'm guessing AJ Green scores an easy blown coverage TD but not much else.

Steelers 27
Bengals 19

Steelers: 35
Bungles: 21
