I think we are a much better team than the Jaguars. It was just one of those poorly coached games with players making too many mistakes to overcome.
KC is a tough matchup. We really do not cover the TE well, and Hunt is the type of back who can make our LB's and safeties miss. Alex Smith is playing mistake free football at quarterback.
If Tomlin and Butler have any brains they focus on stopping the run and dare Kansas City to beat them outside with the WR's.
Kansas City's defense has not been great and you can run on them. Teams average 4.6 yards per rush against KC. And they gave up 111 points, which is a lot.
If Tomlin and Haley have any brains, they go back to power football and stick with the run, unless it's the 3rd quarter and we are down two scores.
So this game is winnable to me, but when you make a prediction, how you think your team will play matters. And I don't see the coaching staff playing this one correctly.
