Official Prediction Thread - Steelers / Buccaneers

Us: 45
Them: 24

Tampa's QB comes back down to earth. Defense scores once and sets us up for a couple of other scores.

52-38 Tampa

This is the trend until the Steelers show me something different.

Steelers: 27
Uber Pirates: 26

UPDATED: I just found this stat. Wow! Defense is way worse than I thought. My prediction stays the same, but what an interesting take away from NFL.com reporter Elliot Harrison.

“The Steelers have allowed opposing quarterbacks a 108.9 passer rating, with one out of every 10 throws resulting in a touchdown. Not completions, pass attempts. So, when the opposition puts the ball in the air 10 times, one of those tosses is bound to put seven points on the board” (Harrison, 2018)

The difference between 1-1-1 and 0-2-1 for playoff chances is pretty significant.

If you go 0-2-1, you have 13 games left, and since you basically need to go 10-6 to make the playoffs, this means you must go 10-3 to finish out the season.

Our D wakes up,puts on pressure. Boz has a big game, cause we can't put it in inside thr redzone.

23-13 B&G

51 to 42 good guys

We score a ton of points......Tampa scores more.
I hope I’m wrong.

Hard to predict this steeler team. First of all, how many minutes will they feel like playing? I figure the norm for this lot is about 42 minutes where they play like they give a **** and about 18 minutes of general buffoonery.

But this is Monday Night where the ratio is usually more like 53 minutes of football and 7 minutes of jackassery.

Maybe i'm going to feel like a fool on Tuesday morning, but i think this team, players, coaches and owners, really did get a wake up call by all of the media backlash. The normally easy going Pittsburgh media was writing articles calling out Tomlin and Butler and team leaders, or lack there of.

Butler has admitted that on some plays, including Kelce's TD, that he had 2 different coverages called and it was the players responsibility on the field to pick the correct one based on formation, then communicate that to each other. Seems pretty stupid when you have a rookie Safety and several other new faces mixed in with some other players who have a history of being dumb.

Now we are told they will simplify. Well it's about time.

Tampa has weapons but their OL is not great and their run game is not that good. Their defense sucks. The Steeler offense should have it's way. If the steeler defense doesn't keep blowing assignments, they should be good enough to hold the Bucs offense in the 20s.

Steelers go balls out and play 56 minutes of football and just 4 minutes of dumb-assery

Steelers 34
Bucs 27

I just can't predict a high point total for this team on the road. Road Ben has been a thing for a while. We will need defense to win this game

*50% chance rain
*Shades 10-0 last 10 prime time games
*Fitzpatrick 0-5 all time vs. Pittsburgh
*Ben approx. 60% win % all time in September
*Tampa most plays 20+ yards this year
*Steelers desperate or should be

Tampa 34
Pitt 20
