O line and Munchack don't get enough credit

[QB coach]

The strength of all very good football teams starts on the offensive and defensive lines. Without being great upfront, it doesn't matter how good your QB, wideouts, running back, and corners are. They will look mediocre. Our greatest loss this season in my opinion is losing coach Munchack. What he has done with the o line has been amazing. When he took a lateral move it told me there is some kind of internal strife within the front office and coaching staff. This is a major concern and not much was said about him leaving but why not? A good o line gives your QB and running backs confidence that they will have time to throw and holes to run through. It also let's deep passing routes possible, hence AB and Juju had extra time to get open. Defensively a good d line stops the run on early downs and makes the other team one dimensional which helps the entire defense. The best teams are strong up front.

Just about every Steelers fan I know recognized Munchak as the best coach on the the staff and the offensive line as one of the, if not the, best in the league. Not sure where you are getting this feeling they don't get enough credit.

All I see on ESPN and any other network regarding football is always about the skill players such as AB, Bell, QB,s, etc.,etc. Wow we lost Bell last year and everyone thought our season was over. Conner proved otherwise. Our passing game will also be fine this year as long as the line gives Ben time. I think our biggest weakness after linebacker is our lack of depth on the d line. Skill players get the ink, but the big guys win the games for the most part.
