Nothing on Faneca getting big snub for HOF???

Haven’t seen a word here on Faneca not getting in the HOF this go around and in spite of the other 3 Steelers getting the call, making it seem obvious why he didn’t get the call yet, this could be considered a HUGE snub when you consider Steve Hutchinson getting in ahead of Faneca!!!

Comparison (Faneca edges Hutchinson in every category):
Seasons 13 - 12 in favor of Faneca
Games/starts Faneca 209/204 to 169/169 (Hutch missed games but started all he suited up)
Pro bowls 9 - 7 in favor of Faneca
All pro 6 - 5 in favor of Faneca
SB Championships Faneca 1 for 1, Hutch 0 for 1 (and that was actually head to head).
Years of eligibility 5 to 3 for Faneca waiting longer

And one last consideration... Faneca literally made the key block that sprung Fast Willie’s record breaking run in that head to head SB!!!!

Not saying Hutch doesn’t deserve to get in, but in no way, shape or form should he have gotten call before Faneca.... no matter how many Steelers already got the call this year!!!!

I hoped they were going to double down on Guards with Big Red and Hutch and leave James hanging on the edge til next year.
 
There's been a lot of talk on here about Faneca. Locally, I don't expect much until talk radio next week. The weekend should be more about celebrating Troy, Coach, and Shell. We will have plenty of time to complain about Faneca's snub.
 
I kind of assumed he wasn't getting in this year because Troy was getting in...not to mention Cowher. I think he gets in next year.
 
A player of Alan's pedigree shouldn't have to be a finalist 5 years in a row and take a back seat to a player(s) not as good as him.

And TJ's huge snub makes me even angrier.

And Hutchinson only had to wait two years, it's totally ******! Faneca is the better player, and by a solid margin too

I think most people don't see it as a snub but just the reality that they weren't putting 4 steelers in one class. Cowher and Shell got in through the special 100 anniversary thing and polamalu got in normally. Faneca wasn't also getting in this year.

They put Steve Hinchinson in which bodes well for Faneca. Now Faneca absolutely must be the top rated G. I'm guessing he's in next year.

Being those getting enshrined was announced less than 24 hours ago I didn’t think it necessary to search past the second page for a NEW THREAD on Faneca not getting in.


To some others, I understand the “voters” not wanting 4 Steelers in 1 class, but the again I don’t understand, when they put in a guy that plays the exact same position, but by all measures had an inferior (not unworthy, but inferior) career and less wait to get in??? If he’s a HOF’er, and by comparison to Hutch he is, then it shouldn’t matter how many other Steelers are getting in. If it is too many Steelers than pick another player this year, Faneca next year n Hutch the next year???

That's ok, gives us another chance to go take over Canton next year. They may need to widen Rt. 30.

Our convos were on the first page. You didn't have to search far. It is what it is if you aren't used to the Steelers getting the short end of the deal then I don't know what to tell you. Besides he will be in sooner than later. Be happy we got three in this year. Better to dwell on that.

Atwater, Bruce, James, Hutchinson aren't in the conversation as the best to ever play their position. That's why this whole thing is so ****** up, it's not like we're bitching about Swann not getting it, we're talking about arguably the best Guard to ever play the game not getting in for the 5th? straight year, while a guy that's definitely not on his level getting in after being eligible for only 2 years.

I think they devalue the G position. Should be no doubt in any Steelers fans minds he didn't get in due to the Steelers having three others get in this year. I think in the next two years he will get in.
 
And the fat piece of **** Peter King voted for Atwater, Lynch, Boselli, Hutchinson and James. No Faneca or Troy. That stupid **** should have to publicly defend voting for Hutchinson over Faneca. There is no defense.
