Not sure what people watch

A few plays here and there on both offense and defense, and we pull out a win against a team everyone thought would absolutely crush us. I wouldn't call that an ***-whipping. Considering the players we were missing I'm not too devastated by the result.

They left 13 points on the field. Two missed FG's and the TD that DHB stepped out because he doesn't trust his extremities

Don't forget the opening drive that was derailed by the idiotic trick play call. Could have been another 7.

But that's just it. Every team, even the pats**** can say that. A few plays here and there and they win by 28 points. You can go back to the 55 point drubbing a couple of years ago and do the same thing. IF they had covered the WR... if they hadn't throw that pick. IT's always that way. There are no perfect games for either team.

The fact is that the STeelers weren't ready. Didn't play well at times. The offense scored 1 TD for 99.9% of the game. They scored another when they had no chance of winning the game. Their defense was crushed giving up 4 TDS to Brady with no TOs.

The Steelers literally left 10 points on the board just on missed makeable field goals and a TD catch that the WR screwed up on that turned into a field goal. the last drive should have been to win the game, not just make it pretty. Couple that with drives that stalled over steeler blunders and and defensive breakdowns that were all communication and familiarity issues then honestly you can look at this game and say the Steelers should have won it or at least kept it way closer. That's without Bell and Bryant playing. I would absolutely take a rematch with that team in the playoffs, assuming no cheating that is...lol

The fact is the Pats**** are usually a top red zone team year in and year out. We are not. Until we start scoring TD's in the redzone we will most likely come up short and talk about what ifs.

And the pats**** literally left 14 points on the board on two missed wide open WRs that Brady missed. I guarantee you there will be points left on the board against the 49ers this week by both sides. That's football. The Steelers played better than I thought they would but they were still bad on defense and still have issues scoring on offense. Until they fix those things they aren't going to beat good teams.

I'm not saying the Patriots weren't the better team. I'm just saying it wasn't all that lopsided. We beat them in passing yards, rushing yards, and time of possession. They made a couple of plays when it counted and we didn't. They won, they deserved to win, but it wasn't the ***-kicking people expected. We have some things to work on for sure but I don't look at this game and think "We're doomed". This was a very good team and we held our own despite missing some key starters.

The problem with the communication system wasn't from coaches to players, it was between and among the coaches.

Which extends to the players. Because if the coaches can't communicate then the coaches in the booth can't relay personnel changes to the coach calling the plays. The coach calling the plays can't communicate with the personnel coaches on the sidelines to make sure the right players are in the game for the playcall he called

Look, the biggest change in the game was the product of two of the Steelers best 4 offensive players not being on the field. Can you imagine having Le'veon Bell on the field for 50 snaps, and Deangelo Williams as a guy coming in for a breather? And Bryant running that deep route that Wheaton dropped? Bryant is probably 3 yards past the defender and has to slow down to make an easy catch.

That was the most significant difference. Ben, Bell, Bryant, and Brown? No defense can cover that many skill position players.

Gee, Pittsburgh "beat" Dallas in passing yards, rushing yards, and time-of-possession back in Super Bowl XXX, but I don't remember the Steelers receiving any big shiny total yardage trophies. Good thing that game wasn't "all that lopsided," either.

Which is why I believe that we win this rematch in January vs the Cheaters. With our top offensive players healthy and contributing, theres no ****** way we lose to the Cheats again. No way....it wont happen.

The point she was making was this game wasn't the bloodbath most here predicted. We all KNOW we lost the game...that's not up for debate. But theres something to salvage when you play competitively on offense at least WITHOUT your all-pro center, all-pro RB and MVP candidate, as well as our top deep threat missing.

OMG, I guess you missed the parts where I said the Patriots won, they deserved to win, they were the better team. Sheesh.

Sorry...we suck...we got thumped...the season is over...we'll probably never win another game...we should all kneel down and suck on Tommy's deflated balls. Feel better now?

Yes let's play the "what if" game. What if Brady hits those two wide open WRs for TDs? Then the game is a total blow out. See how easy that is? Missed FGs etc.. happen every game.

Also the word is moot not mute.

Sorry Dr. Huxtable, I was on my "not-so-smart-phone" - auto correct is a mofo...

The point I was making (look for the emboldened type) is that there is no solace in "beating" the other team in yards gained or time-of-possession. It means absolutely nothing. The Steelers scored one touchdown in the game in the first 59:55. That is not playing "competitively" with the offense of the New England Patriots, when they scored four touchdowns.

No, I didn't miss those parts. I just thought it was foolish to say New England got "beat" in yardage and TOP stats. Who gives a ****? Let me know when the league changes the rules and lets the Steelers score touchdowns between the 20 yard lines.

Way to create a bunch of hyperbole about nonsense I never came close to saying, or even insinuating. Hey, you got a bunch of likes from all the usual suspects. Congratulations.

There are times and games when you feel like there is no way one team could beat another down the road. I didn't feel like that coming out of this game. They have to be more efficient in the red zone and the field goal kicker needs to make kicks.

So you're predicting that the Steelers go to the SB this season?
