Not one word mentioned about depression

Like any body i know or DON't know, I pray for them to get "right" . Nobody can do it for him and nobody should have to. These athletes have had "easy street" their entire lives and sometimes can't see reality. The "easy street" needs to end yet given him an oppertunity to help himself. He needs to be accountable for his actions. If he can do that and his life leads back to football, so be it. If not, he has to be accountable to where ever that leads him.Hoping for his accountability...

Salute the nation

I'm sorry but **** Bryant. We heard the same **** when he got suspended the first four games, I'm sorry, I let my family my team and myself down. I will dedicate myself to be the best man I can be yada yada yada. He didn't even make it six months, that has to be some kind of ******* record.

As for worrying about getting these high priced ******* more money after football because they almost always go broke? you have to be ******* kidding me, if you are not smart enough after at least three years of college to handle you money... tough **** quit giving you **** to your hommies or spending it on drugs. We have a country full of people that can't afford to keep the lights on or eat properly and we're worried about a bunch of millionaires that cant handle their business?? you have got to be ******* ******** me.

Bryant's smoked page 2 of his letter that mentioned depression

I'm all about helping a brother out and getting him right. When he's on the field he's a force, so I say give the kid a chance, but his leash will be very short.

If he can still be productive to the Steelers then yes get better off the field. The team can use him. If he continues to be a head case with multiple failed test when he knows. Then im sorry, get your help but the Steelers have to let you go

These guys dont need any more money after football. Especially if they blow through millions like that. Thats why these guys have their shot at an education when handed to them. But lets face it they are coddled. Some guys are smart players and invest. But the majority? Eh

Look, man. Not piling on the guy and being sympathetic are two entirely different things. I am not crying tears for Martavis Bryant. I find it hard to believe with the possibilities for him he could **** up like this. No sympathy from me on that front.

A friend of mine got nailed for DUI. I kinda laugh when I think about him in his Carhartt and work boots riding his mountain bike to work. I've even busted his *** about it. But then I realize it could be me. It's not like I drink and drive as a regular routine, but there have been occasions over the years I pushed it a little. And I was just lucky enough not to get caught. That is why I won't pile on Bryant.

Two different things. Bryant has already been busted and punished once, (busted on multiple accounts and given a pass) So if you get busted for DUI and your boss gives you a couple weeks off then says next time its a year off without pay, you're telling me you would drink and drive again????

He may if he has a problem with Alcohol

Meh... Me. I could care less if he plays again. I am hoping he gets his life straightened out. If football ends up being apart of it...then great. If not who cares. If he beats what ever he is fighting he will come out a winner.

Actually, not necessarily. I know a guy who was a real *******, and also happened to be hooked on opiates (Oxy, eventually).

I thought when he got clean, he'd be a whole new man. As it turned out, he became an even bigger *** hole.

But this guy has Narcissistic Personality Disorder, so that could be the difference.

If all MB is doing is weed, it's pretty inaccurate to think if he "beats it" he will be good the rest of his life. If he loses his football pay checks, there is nothing else this kid can do to live phat like that. He will likely be pretty poor the rest of his life.

Unlike weed, alcohol can be physically addictive, so, yes, I could see someone repeating that over and over again, even though it's insane to do so. You'd like to think they could manage to not drive drunk, even if they still get drunk, but there are so many morons out there, that keep Fing up.

If he can beat his smoking habit and depression(if he has a depression issue) he will win those fights. As a person? Maybe not.

Much like Ben and motorcycles, suck it up and don't do it while you're playing. After you retire smoke all you want.

I wouldn't. But then again, I have a brain and I am not addicted to alcohol. I;m just saying I won't pile on. You can. Have at it. Maybe it's karma I fear. I figure if I get too cocky, how stupid could the kid be, that's when I get it.

It's kind of a rule of life I live by. Never get to high or too low. Or too cocky. I know there have been days at work I have said boy, this day is going great, only to have **** go wrong later in the day. So I always couch it a bit. Again, I am simply trying to explain why I won't pile on the guy. I don't know why, because frankly I could give a **** less if you don't agree.
