Observations from around the league. Post em here as you watch games.

Tough luck for Redskins - looks like the lost 2 guys for the season. TE Niles Paul had a gruesome, Theisman like leg injury. RB Silas Redd also left with his knee in an air cast after it bent the wrong way.

DT Danny Shelton looks like a beast for Cleveland. Just pushing people around. Finally hit on a draft pick. If DT Phil Taylor can stay healthy then nobody is running up the middle vs the browns.

Jimmy Garapalo did not look great. He seems to know the offense but his reads are nowhere as fast Brady. He looks like a good backup, a guy like Hoyer. I'm going to call him Grape Nuts.

Ravens moved the ball down the field with ease today.

This was nice to hear:
In the end the story of the game was a Cleveland offense that struggled to move the ball, a Browns defense that looked awful against the run, and Washington miscues that allowed the Browns to lead for much of the night.

He is still learning the other teams signals give him time

in preseason very hard to see where a teams O stands, with vanilla Ds

I think their O is going to take a step back..................

NO's D is horrible. You can't put a chocolate topping on that vanilla defense to improve it. Not even Jimmies help!

First 4 Ravens Drives: TD TD FG FG

Vikings looked good in their second game action. Bridgewater appears to be picking up where he left off last season.

Losing RG Phil Loadholt is a big blow to the Minnesota Moving Company. Could be a good break for TJ Clemmings formerly of Pitt.

On another note: That Tampa QB Project Jamies Winston was pretty much awful in his work as he started and played the first half of the game.

Randy Gregory - 1 game, 1 sack

Just watched a few series of the Jets game today. Petty looked pretty good for what little I watched.

Suggs with a cheap shot on Bradford early in the game.

Flacco throws INT on a jump ball. The WR forgot to make the flag motion to get the PI call like Torrey Smith always did. It was a staple of the raven offense.

Eagles offense made it look easy vs ravens on first drive, TD.

Eagles 2nd drive looked good too.

Josh Mauro making plays for the cardinals. Wolf's brother just said Mauro may be on the outside of making the roster. If they cut him, the steelers better snatch him back up because this guy just makes plays. He's better than anything the steelers have behind Heyward and Tuitt and since the Steeler OLBs suck at pass rush, they need all the playmakers they can find.

Aside from Wolfley sounding like Jesse Ventura the whole game, a few players stood out. Mauro should be signed if cut (agree) also, might want to watch what happens with Craig Mager CB, Ted Larson C/G and Josh Lambo K. Lambo came in and nailed a 53 yd FG after Novak missed an extra point.

We coulda had Tebow

Jimmy Garoppolo looked way better than Brady

Suggs is a cheap Jackass, and now the rest of the NFL knows....

Yea, all 12 people that watched the local feeds of a preseason game... He needs to do it in a regular season game for it to matter. I wonder if they even fine people for preseason hits. That could bankrupt some of the guys trying to make a roster.

Just watched the Eagles/Ravens and the birds were taking advantage of a big slow Ravens team with a lot of misdirection, speed, and scheme. Our offense should be able to tear them a new one provided we make them move laterally. If you run straight at them, the Ravens D looks decent but they really struggled to pick up the traps, delays, and stuff in the flat. I enjoyed watching them suffer.

Also, I wish we had a LT like Peters. Every time I see him play I am amazed to see a man that big move like he does. It looks fake.

it's front page on ESPN and PFT

Here's what Jason Peters said
"He was trying to take a cheap shot at the quarterback. I'm pretty sure he planned it. I mean, we've practiced against them all week, so he was probably thinking about it. I really don't know him personally. He talks a lot and I think he's that type of player -- who is dirty and will take shots on the quarterback."

It was a read option play where Bradford handed the ball immediately. Suggs is allowed to hit the QB in that situation when it's a run fake. He knew the ball was gone which makes it cheap for a preseason game. He also went low which makes him a scumbag.
