Tomlin just said Samules had his knee scoped. Out for a month.

Looks like Benny Snell will get some reps this week. So who the hell is the backup QB now?

Benny Snell and even Moncrief will now have to get some targets. Hopefully, Tomlin has been letting him rest his mangled digits over the past couple weeks but my guess is he either made him or let him stand in front of the jugs machine for hours on end so his fingers will get worse instead of better.

Time or some Benny snell ootball

Jaylen Samuels

Tomlin just announced on his presser that Samuels had his knee scoped yesterday and will miss at least a month. Not a good sign for the offense which is struggling to move the ball on the ground already. On the plus side, maybe that will put an end to the wildcat for a month or so.

ugh. Light at WR and RB not a good look for the O.

Its time for Benny Snell football my friends. Buckle up Benny, we need ya!

inactive and bring up Trey Edmunds

I think Edmunds and Snell will be able to get some tough yardage. Edmunds should definitely get carries, I like what I saw from him in preseason.

well that essplains it all...he was using the wrong color fingerpaints.

Did you read the press clippings?

What the holy hell is this idiot babbling about?

“When dealing with circumstances and we had red paint so we pained our barn red,” Tomlin said. “OK, now let’s paint it yellow. "

Is a simple "we'll play the guys that we have available to us" that difficult to say? Why must there always be some cliche or convoluted explanation to absolutely everything?

Because that's all he has as a coach, to appear to sound smart.

Yeah that crap has been old for almost a decade. If you think we're sick of it imagine how the players must feel hearing these cliches day in and day out for years with very little results.

This could actually be a positive because it will force them to run the ball with Conner from more traditional formations.

That would be a normal deduction...after watching us call a play for Samuels to throw the football in our own redzone makes me question any decision making from Fichtner and/or Tomlin. Logical thought process is apparently vastly overrated.

They need a FB. If Nix comes back, great. If not then they better sign somebody because they need a FB now to run the ball. Especially now with Washington injured and there not really being a WR beyond JuJu and Johnson that warrants playing time.

The 3 WR set was the best use of talent a few weeks ago, but no longer. Now they added Vannett, so 2 TE is better and if they get a FB then using 2 RBs is better than 3 WR as well.

Switzer will be in there as well as Moncrief. Oh, and useless Holton will be in the WR mix. Lose this game and even the most die-hard Steelers fans will have to write this season off.

I think he was referring to all the empty seats that are going to be waiting for them back home.
