No timetable for Aaron

I get what you're saying but this year isn't a good draft for QB's and next year is supposed to be much better.
This season will be a maintenance year because the Steelers don't ever tank, just get through the year with 9 or 10 wins with A-Aron, and draft the next franchise QB in 2027.
Drafting at 21 or 22 next year isn't ideal for finding that guy. No this season doesn't look good for QB's, that doesn't mean I want to use our #1 on a QB, get Murray, or Willis, etc players that are still in their prime, have alot to prove and even though it's a miniscule chance, they do have a slight chance at being that guy. Rodgers is just going to do eveything possible to not get hit, McCarthy would never bench him, those other guys you can bench if they suck.
I'm perfectly fine going with FA, Rudolph, Howard, if we suck, oh well we have a high draft pick.
I'm ready to just start throwing as much as possible at the wall until I find something that sticks.

I’m ok with the Steelers playing sub 500 ball this year using Will Howard to see what he is at this level.
So we only win 5 or 6 games, that’s not a bad thing.
We were able to draft Terry Bradshaw overall number one in 1970 after going 1-13 in 1969.
We were able to draft Ben number one at pick 11 in the 2004 draft after going 6-10 in 2003.
One of Art’s biggest problems is he doesn’t look long term and only very short term.
Bringing back Rodgers may get you 9 or 10 wins but then what? You possibly get in the playoffs and simply cannot compete against he better teams and you end up picking 20, 21, or 22 in next year’s draft.
Moving up to a top 10 pick will cost dearly and the more they move up, the steeper the cost.
Art needs to look long term here and if it’s a losing season so what. The fans will continue to support the team and fill the seats even with a losing season.
I’d play for the long term of the team’s fortunes here and not the short term.
