no matter how you spin it
Arians a better coached O and D
Tomlin not a better coached O and D

Better decisions in the off-season.
Better time management.
Better record.
One is on the inside ...
The other on the outside looking in....

some will say we had no idea Arians would head coach this well

but when he showed capable in Indy

IMO that is when the switch should have been made........

Steelers got rid of the wrong coach.

By the time he was in Indy, it was too late.

I think da Bruce would have made a great coach looking back at it

Fuuuuucckkk!!!

Arians has done nothing in AZ yet. I'd like to see what this team does in the playoffs before I reserve judgment

Yep. Should have kept BA and got rid of Tomlin. But the Rooneys wanna go around acting like they are great guys and hire Tomlin. Now we are stuck with him.

Just about everyone was ready to run Arians out of town. There was no way they were going to fire Tomlin and promote him to HC. That is laughable.

He's got a better QB.

Have we ever considered that over the years it isn't the playcalling but poor decisions and play at crucial times by the elite QB?

Everyone wanted Arians gone. That would fix it. We see some of the same stuff with Haley. I guess they should can him. Maybe another guy will fix it.

I am saying as a head coach when they saw his body of work in Indy.

my overall point is the bad decisions that constantly plague this franchise.

Until a change is made I have seen enough that tells me this team will never be more moving forward than mediocre under Tomlin.

He has shown the cocky arrogance not to change..

No reason fro me to think moving forward he will improve on his obvious deficiencies.

Ones that will make this team fall short moving forward until he is removed.

I love to eat crow somewhere along the line..

I just don't feel that will come to pass.

**** off. What has Palmer won. Same with Luck.

Ben played bad, but with the game in the line that 3rd down pass was right in Bryant's hands, if he doesn't fall its 6 and even when he fell it still hit him in the hands.

It's becoming an annoying pattern at this point. I agree

When you see a pattern and see he isn't improving as a coach, that is telling.

Taking points off the board not kicking FGs
Time managment
Playing down to lesser teams
Personnel decisions.

when is enough enough?

When Ben's career is over?

Especially Lake and Porter they need to be replaced... That might not be a coincidence as that's the Steelers worst coached positions.

I love them as Steelers but as coaches they aren't excelling.

Who was the secondary coach before Lake? Perry right? Bring him back. I do like Gay's improvement and Cockrell wasnt too bad. Boykin looked capable of making some splash plays but the rest of the guys in the secondary regressed

Aw, knock it off.

We do this **** all the time. Some guys seem to be untouchable. Ben seems to be one of them. He gets a pass. He sucked today when it was most needed. This has happened with more frequency over the last few years. Why are some so afraid to see it for what it is?

He won the SB the last time over 7 years ago. Hell, wars are fought and won in less time. It is just inexcusable to roll out that performance today with what was on the line.

I am not saying get rid of him. But ******' a a doo da lee do, he needs to be held responsible for that **** today.

I go back n forth but it is a strong Tomlin/Butler desire to kick them to the curb.

Realizing we might just be screwed as fans...

Maybe not screwed. I do believe the Steelers are a few key players away on defense from being a complete team. The offense is great. The defense doesnt have the personel right now to execute

But there is def a pattern under Tomlin since 2011

He does. And Tomlin owns the rest. As in the season. As in when they lost to the Rats the first time. As in when they lost to the Chiefs who were 1-5 at the time. Ben was the key in virtually every win he played. The defense never gets fixed. They lost to a team with a qb on the roster for less than 2 weeks. They didn't get one turnover and did zero to flustered a guy who isn't even a journeyman.

Look, I am as pissed after a game as I have been in years, and maybe I am just saying things out of frustration, but I am sick and tired of blaming coaches for the players ******** the bed. We were screwed as fans today because the players played like ****, especially the elite QB.

Man, I'll drive the car that takes Tomlin out of town, but I am not foolish enough to believe that a new coach just shows up and it is championships.

I like to see guys get their feet wet a little longer elsewhere before coming back. When looking at some of the recent moves, the Steelers brought in new, OL, RB and WR coaches and we saw positive results almost immediately. Granted a lot of that has to do with the talent, but the coaching helped.

If when you say a few key players away on defense you mean at least 8....then yeah. I agree. And this offense is to up and down from one week to another to call great.

you know, I'm 48 years old and over the last few years I finally thought I was getting beyond being pissed off as much. The Super Bowls in '05 and '08 did a lot to calm me down. But today was like the old days. I could piss naplam right now.

Not exactly championships from the get go but as a coach set a tone, implement a philosphy, be aware of the clock, and rally up the troops when the team is down. Don't be buddy buddy with a player or four and expect them to cater to you come game day. If you have an elite QB and he's playing like ****. Sit him down, put a foot up his *** and make proper adjustments and ease the guy back into the game. If you have something that works keep it. If its broken dont try to fix it or keep rolling with it hoping for a miracle. Thats why so many people are pissed at Tomlin
