No leaping rule

Well I just watched Collins from the Pat's leap the centre on A PAT. They said as long as he doesn't make contact it was legal. If he does it is a personal foul but like I said with kick off touch backs it's a moot point.

if he jumped from 1 yard out, IMO, it shouldn't be a penalty for anyone. Seems unlikely, anyone can make that leap. The rule, clearly says, within 1 yard of the LoS must be outside the guys pads.

Rules don't apply to the *'s, though.

If they make it just over the long snapper, I'd be fine with the change. Seems unlikely anyone is jumping over him from 3 yards out, though.

The NFL once more strikes in the off season on a rule that seems no big deal. Maybe one day we will see where one player is picked off each team to meet and play Madden football, to see who wins each week.

I am very happy with this rule change. Field goals were way too exciting and unpredictable. I think we should just trot out the kicker on an empty field and give him a tee.

Next season everyone will have to play 10 yards off the wr so everyone can get a billion cheap passing yards and score at will. No blitzing allowed. All teams playing the p*ts** will turn in game plans with all signals the week before playing them. Arm tackles will be the only permissible means of stopping the player with the ball.

Each year this game gets crappier with stupid rules, tv commercials, flags every other ******* play and never for **** you see constantly going on (holding, face masks push offs, pick plays). It's asinine. Dumb political **** by commentators on the shows and in game. Just a bunch of overhyped bullshit with a low quality over regulated over priced product.

This rule would be brilliant and in addition defenders should no longer be able to jump up to defend a pass, swat a pass down at the LOS, etc.

Those defenders have every rule in the game geared for their success, they should have to play with both feet stuck in the mud while we're at it.

What we need is to play under these rules and first to 100 wins, it's no fun unless he game is decided by which kicker misses more PATs. Effing NFL should just figure out how to enforce the current rules properly.

Rule passed. You have to be at the line of scrimmage to attempt to jump and block which precludes this tactic unless you are a he'll of a standing broad jumper.

The league has also approved automatic ejections for "egregious" hits to the head.

More subjective bullshit

I agree that will be tough. Doesn't college use a replay in that. Hopefully that is the way this works. At least be correct.
