OutCoached aka Coach will be throwing even more darts at YouTube clips for his proprietary “player evaluations”. He will have to try for another donated Walter Football subscription.

2021 draft will be completely unpredictable this year. Partly because player interviews will be via Zoom, and all physical performance and medical evaluations will be shared amongst the 32 teams. Having the draft in Cleveland probably doesn’t help either.

Looks like all the individual drills will be at their pro days. So I would assume all the normal drills will be done.

it will be interesting to see what schools do with their pro day schedules. With so many schools, they often overlap. With no combine, will schools move their dates to stand alone? This could really hurt small school kids.

I won't be surprised if small schools or even a whole conference like the MAC host a a combined pro day.

Hah so hopefully teams with better internal scouting will succeed better... the combine puts a metric ton of guys on the radar... teams like the bungles that outsource most of their scouting will all be parroting the same 2 or 3 draft services evaluations... that should be an advantage for us...

To bad we didn't have our old school owner (Dan) as he would handle this with delight.

Salute the nation

so conservative picks such as seniors and players who played for coaches we hire or played for friends of coaches.

Im certainly not a pro personnel director or even a scout...but I always saw this event as more "pomp" than "circumstance"....

According to the NFL release, the league will be getting with the conferences and schools to define what drills to use during their respective pro days so as to provide transparency for the league’s team GMs, medical/training staffs and scouting Dept.

Small school players will definitely be impacted negatively, if they didn’t have 2019 tape.

I think the player meetings and medicals are the biggest boons for teams.

I remember reading not to long ago the players associations was trying to get rid of all combine and all off season work outs. NFL is the only sport that does not have a true offseason due to workouts and mandatory off season trainings/practices. I think it was the Browns player rep and seemed to have some support throughout the league.

So it's safe to play football, but not run drills with a coach on the field at the combine...got it...more scientific brilliance and PC posturing

I would have to think besides interviews and medical reports, they've got a list already put together on who they are interested in. The combine will certainly help improve the stock of many, but we are in the business of drafting workout warriors. We draft football players and the recent history has been excellent where we have had in other years entire draft classes become busts. If they continue to draft football players and focus on that aspect, we are going to be alright with this draft. I think our biggest enemy right now is the cap and how many roster spots we need to fill. We are going to be signing some undrafted free agents to the roster this year and we certainly will be UFA bargain hunting.

It's just a glorified tiebreaker IMO, unless you're the Raiders. If you have two guys at the same position graded very closely, you'll go with the guy that has the better combine results, but other than that you don't get a ton from it.

I understand Dominion Data Services will be handling the transparent dissemination of player information.

Evergreen College in Washington is expecting to produce the first 10 draft picks.
