No College Thread?

If I was on the committee I would start with a purely numbers system. I would do something like wins = 2 pts and loss = 5 pts. I would break down strength of schedule into several categories like 0-5,6-10, etc etc. and assign points. I would also factor in margin of defeat / victory. I wouldnt use this as the end all be all, but it would be interesting to see what teams came out on top.

As for OSU even if they win the Big 10 and get in like Tape said it would be BS based on last year. OSU got blown out 2x. Wisconsin only has 2 games that were close a 9 pt win and 8pt win. Every other game was a pretty dominating win. If they beat OSU I think they should be #1. Ala does not have that great of schedule and technically shouldnt get it, but I bet they find a way to sneak in.
 
I'm a Buckeye fan and I wholeheartedly do not believe there should be ANY way for them to be admitted to the Playoff. Not after what Iowa did to us. They beat Michigan again so anything from here on out is gravy to me

Bama has done NOTHING this year, beaten NOBODY! They will get in because they get their *** kissed every year, but they do NOT deserve it. This year, should be straight up conference champs: Clemson/Miami, Oklahoma/TCU, OSU/Wisconsin, Auburn/Georgia.
 
If OSU wins the Big Ten, they deserve to get in. Yes, the Iowa game SUCKED, but they'd still be more deserving then Bama.

And for the record, OSU did not deserve to get in last year, should've been Penn State.

Until they expand to 8 teams, you should have to win your conference to get in. Plain and simple. So tired of this "eye test" bullshit, it all comes down to favorites. And Notre Dame should be forced to join a conference or NEVER get into the playoffs. You're not special ND, get over yourself.

An 8 team playoff would solve a lot. These big program schools need to stop with the bullshit footwipe opponents on their schedules as well.

Kerryon Johnson has a hurt shoulder. I bet he plays on Saturday. The rematch should be a good game.

For the record- Auburn's 2 losses were by a COMBINED 12 points. One was the second game of the season to Clemson in a 14-6 game. Bama's SOS is #61 in the nation, with their biggest wins coming against a 3 loss LSU team and a 4 loss Mississippi State team. Gonna make for interesting discussions. Even more interesting is seeing the entire Bama Nation go into hiding.

PSU has only lost to OSU and MSU on the road by a combined 4 points. No one will care

That's true. I was just putting it out there for the people who think Bama SHOULD be in the mix for the playoffs (and trust me, they are out there, sports talking heads included.)
