Just hope the NFL/Goodell , don't determine a big game for us, due to AB pushing the envelope this season.
Arnold Palmer okay.. Muhammad Ali ejection..?
This is why the NFL should not handle these things case by case. Wtf?
Fines are one thing. Ejection is something totally different. .
What about the uniformity of standing for the national anthem?
If my job had me wear a suit and tie and I show up in jeans and a wife beater, should anticipate being left alone or being sent home.
I have no problem with this. I support it. It's a slippery slope. Brown wears Arnold Palmer. Then some guy wears his kids. Then the next Colin K comes along and wants to wear Che Guevara shoes. Another wants to wear Stalin on his.
It's good to stop this now before you get into real conflict. And frankly, I don't want the players looking like NASCAR cars.
They made him change the Arnold Palmer shoes too
Just wear your frigging uniform and go to work. Why does everyone have to make a ******* statement about something these days? Good grief. Post something about your game dedication on your facebook, twitter or instagram. That's all you need. They should be crushing this kneeling horseshit too. If you hate standing while our national anthem is playing then find another ******* job. Those people in the stands and watching on tv are the lifeblood of your livelihood. If you want to see real oppression go check out North Korea.... rant mode off
I think you are missing the reason behind whole kneeling thing....it isn't because they don't like standing for the National Anthem. They are using their platform as an athlete to bring awareness to blacks being shot by police across America.
Yet, they weren't marching. Everyone knows what they SAY. In any event, why not be uniform with the rest of the team and stand?
What is your point? I pointed out to the poster that they were not kneeling because they didn't like to stand for the National Anthem.
I have a MAJOR issue with the NFL stepping in and making him change his shoes.
Week one Brown wears baby blue shoes, is fined $9,000.
Week three Brown wears baby blue shoes with his kids pics on them, is told to change at halftime or stay in the locker room.
Week four Brown wears black and gold shoes with Arnold Palmer's pic, no issue as they are black and gold, and follow the NFL uniform guidelines.
Week five Brown wears black and gold shoes with Muhammad Ali's pic, and is told to change them after two drives.
The NFL is picking and choosing it's moments with Brown. There was nothing wrong with his shoes this week, they were black and gold...
But get this, in week 13 and beyond, the NFL will allow players to wear alternate cleats for charities, but not before then...wtf, why week 13? And if you're going to allow it at all, why start towards the end of a season and fine people and threaten to eject them now? This has absolutely NOTHING to do with the uniform code [because Brown stuck to the code] and everything to do with the NFL trying to flex it's muscle.
