NFL ratings down.

Sports has been out of the mind of many, especially as they've shifted their attention to outdoor activities. Without attending NFL training camps or a preseason to get warmed up to, the NFL probably isn't on the mind of some. On top of that, as excited as I was for the game to get started again, it wasn't a great matchup. Sure the Chiefs are an exciting team, but the Texans have absolutely zero buzz or excitement.

Good point cope. But I bet the other sports ratings are down as well. Even prior to Thursday night.

I looked up the NHL, viewership was up 11% in the qualifying and first round, but up overall 4-6% across the board.

NBA Afternoon games were down, but prime time are way up. It looks like overall, taking into account afternoon weekday games, it is down overall, but the primetime numbers are sick. As the teams pair down and more prime time matchups, there will be a ratings spike.

I'm curious to see what week three / four brings. By that time I think true ratings will be found. I also think by that time the NFL will see if their marketing strategy is working and make adjustments from there. MEANING how they will televise and promote social injustice.

It's about the money FIRST and one should not lose sight of that.

Salute the nation

Every major sport played last night for the first time ever I believe. And it was a 3 star matchup for most people. That's what happens when a team like KC wins the SB. Maybe wait for a larger sample size to push an agenda.

Out of curiosity, what agenda do you think he is trying to push? He simply states a NFL news story on ratings. I found it interesting that it was down, given all the circumstances over the last 6 months.

It’s tough to watch non Steelers games for me. Too many penalties especially ticky tack penalties and stoppage of play.

Two teams without large national followings. Should surprise no one.
