NFL moves PAT to 15y line

Please move kickoffs 5 yards back. Singed, the fans who like to see returns, not touchbacks.

It's going to create some upset situations in NFL games. I personally hate it! I think Goodell and his minions are ruining the game I grew up on and loved so much!

Just makes no sense to me that you can kick a 20 yd FG and get 3 points but an extra point is not a 32 yd kick and it's only worth 1 point! Absolute joke!

This crap has gotta stop! **** YOU GOODELL!!! And **** the 30 NFL owners who voted yes to this idea! And screw Jeff Laurie in Philly for his dumbass suggestions too!

Kickers are good enough these days that I don't think it will make a huge difference.

Goodbye to the fake extra point and surprise two point conversion.

re-sign Todd Peterson!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm with you on this one Coach. I want kicoff returns. Why are these guys messing with the formula that has worked for decades? **** - Heads!:poop:

Should have moved it to the 25yd line if they were going to do it.

what if they line up for 2, then kick a FG?

No doubt! Although it would be a big surprise to go for the surprise two point conversion from the 15!

I think it might actually be easier to perform the fake from the 15, a speed guy gets lose and a quick toss and it's over. It might be worth while to have Ben kick from the 15 for the extra points. He has a decent leg as a punter he should be able to kick one from the 15. That might be worth a wrinkle for nothing else to get a team to burn a time out or maybe jump off sides. Could be real interesting.

This!

With this rule change, the kickoff (or should we just start calling it the touchback) is now the most boring play in the NFL.

Don't want head trauma? Find another profession, probably won't pay near as well.

in accordance with player safety, this request and any request in the future that requires players to play more, is denied.

The way the steelers have been on special teams lately I am kind of glad there are lots of touch backs. I am not sure but I do not recall the team having good special teams since Bobby April was the special teams coach.

No. It's not the distance, it's the trajectory. It's easy without a line in front of you, not so easy clearing that line.

I understand that but still think he could do it. Also if you are back there with your block team on the field do you jump off sides, call a time out, it could really make for an interesting wrinkle when the other teams qb is lined up to kick. How long would it take Bryant, Coates, and Brown to get to the endzone from the 15 two seconds? It could easily be a quick pass and two points.

Here is my litmus test for any rule change. Would you want to have the championship decided by it. Team A and B are in a hard fought battle in the Super Bowl. Team A scores a dramatic TD in the dying seconds of the game to say either tie it or win it outright win it. Would you want team A to lose the game because the kicker hit the upright on an extra point even though that in any year past they would essentially have won. Not me. Another idiotic idea under the leadership of Ginger.

I think it should count for one more point if he can hit the upright!

On second thought, Roger Goodell should have to long snap for all 16 games, teams rotated every other year.

If team A is the Patriots, Ravens, Cowboys, Bengals, or Raiders... HELL YES! And I'd laugh my silly *** off.

Seriously though, like any other circumstance, if you don't want to lose because of it, don't let it come down to that.

We had great special teams when Chidi, Ike, and Harrison were on ST. Then again Ike and Harrison were also starters on D...

Montana to Clark, Roethlisberger to Holmes. Some foreign dude missing an extra point. It just doesn't have the same feel.
