Boswell seems to be money, anyone is better than Vick, and Our army ranger looked decent at left tackle.

I was wondering when you would throw up your next post. Let's see how it all works out.

great thread

hi

we need to get some 1st round worthy corners and a young safety. it will be hard at #32 though....:)

Only time will tell, but for today, you hit it on the head. No coach, don't look down between your legs as that was meant only as a figure of speach.

Salute the nation

Can we wait and see how Landrys encore in KC goes before we bless him with the backup ? job. Not even 24 hrs prior most wondered why he was still on the roster. Behind Dri and JJ he was the most lamented player on the roster. Now folks wanna put his name in lights and ****. He will have a full game and a full dose of KCs hostile environment with a desperate team seeking a win at home. If he follows this up with a decent performance then we can start talking about saving a spot with a clipboard

I know, if next week goes to **** due to bad QB play, this board will turn on him just as quick as its anointed him and it will be the same ole ****..........and ill expect a Coach thread that decries such

I don't know what is worse... people pronouncing a guy a bust after a handful of snaps or people ready to give a guy a Long term starters contract after the same timeframe... wait n see... kickers can nosedive in an instant, the LT and QB haven't even played a full NFL game in their careers yet...

This thread was started by Coach, keep that in mind lol

Beachum has been pretty bad this year so it was great to see our ranger come in and stabilize things. With injury and poor play i think beachum's price went way down.. At this point i would sign him as just a backup. Boswell has been a pleasant surprise. I am sure he will have his ups and downs, but he seems to have a solid mentality. Coming in he was under extreme pressure and he has handled it great. As for Jones I thought he would play well, but he played almost flawless considering the circumstasnces. I am sure he will make some mistakes, but i think he will be 10x better than Vick. The impressive thing to me was he seemed to be able to read the D. I highly doubt we will have negative passing yards again.

The most important thing is the coaching staff. If Vick is healthy next week and Ben does not play. Do you guys think Tomlin would be dumb enough to start him over Jones? I honestly would not put it past him, but i think the fans may riot...

Vick looked terrible out there. Us casual fans could see that. But Tomlin likes Vick. No telling what Tomlin does next week. Let's just hope the rumors of Tomlin going to the college coaching ranks are true.

Villanueva's experience, training and dedication as a member of the US Army Rangers afford him the courtesy of spelling "Ranger" with a capital R.
Villanueva' s field skill set as a blind side tackle could be a work in progress. His mind set as primary protector of the QB? I would say based on his experiences outside of football Villaneva will not allow anyone near a Steeler QB. It's just not in his DNA.

Very premature with thiese comments aboiut 2016. Lets wait and see how the season progresses before we annoint the kicker, LT and back-up QB for 2016. I think we will miss Beachum big time this year and theres a reason the Army Ranger has never stuck with another team. We shall see if he can perform the rest of the season. He certainly has his chance now. The kicker looks good but again time will tell with him as well. I think Jones took a huge step forward and really looked good yesterday. He knows this offense very well since he's been studying it now for three years whwereas Vick is and always has been clueless. The offense immediately opened up when Landry entered the game because of that and its good that he got a chance to prove his value by running with the first team.

There is a QUESTION MARK in the title of the thread.

Gradkowski will be back next year and Vick will be gone. I wouldn't worry about it.
