The Pittsburgh Steelers have some great history as a franchise, and a lot of that is due to the players that have donned the black and gold throughout the years. Legends of the game have played for the Steelers, and there are plenty of funny stories that come out of Pittsburgh. Some of the best times for the franchise seem to be in the early to mid-2000s, right around when the organization was able to capture its fifth and sixth Lombardi Trophies. Those teams were loaded with talent, and the leaders on the roster also kept everyone in check.
