My much too early final 53 -pre training camp - post draft edition.

Burns could replace DHB as the gunner on special teams, be insurance on injury and possibly work his way into some sub-package play.

when is Coach Bufford going to chime in?

Burns doesn't like contact enough to play gunner.

I'm hoping to see Bush and Barron on the field a lot so their speed is there across the middle of the field. Then, we can let Watt and Dupree finally consistently get after the passer instead of dropping into coverage against WR's. Then again, Tomlin IS still coaching the D.

vince in run formations and cross blitz if a 4-2-5 your 2 LB Bush Barron

saw in the saints game at times Watt at De a dl of De watt DT heyward DT hargrave DE Dupree could wreak havov from the edge and you get Bush to blitz from thew weakside.

I thought Allen was more raw coming out, and his chances might be coming to an end.

Raw indeed but he has potential to spare. This could be a make or break year for him indeed but we don't have any information about his progress. Could be interesting camp.

Allen (6’3/215) began his college career at wide receiver before converting to cornerback, where he made only ten combined starts as a junior and senior, collecting five interceptions and 4.5 tackles for loss. He blazed 4.48 at the Combine with a twitchy 6.64 three-cone time. Short on experience and turning 24 in October, Allen is old for a developmental rookie, although his size and length (34-inch arms) make Allen an intriguing press-corner project for a patient coaching staff.
