DHB is cut

I think he has caught the lowest percentage of targets out of all the WRs this camp. Arguably his worst camp, in a camp lined deep with capable WRs.

Keion Adams is placed on season ending IR

A late shoulder injury will cause a numbers game. Thing is I am not sure the Steelers will wiling to chance that PS placement. I think like Hawkings last year he is stored for another look-see next year. Tucked away safely on injured reserve.

Demarcus Ayers will be cut

with the attempt to be placed on the PS.I say attempt because I think he may have showed enough last year for another team to give him a roster look. (sorry Coolie)

Terrell Watson will make the final 53

Just as much for his special teams play, as for his short yardage ability. The Steelers will slightly surprise and keep 5 RBs.

CB Mike Hilton and S Jacob Hagen

One will cost a vet his job, Dangerfield I am talking to you.

Daniel McCullers will be the biggest cut

literally

he will make a good bouncer somewhere

The Steelers WRs will be

Brown
Bryant
Rogers
Juju
Coates
Justin Hunter

with Cobi Hamilton being the odd man out.

Every rookie not on injured reserve will make the roster.

Yes Allen too.

My predictions chatters, let us see how they unfold.

Kinda early to be so bold but my hats off to ya slash. All of it is possible and makes sense but three more practice games is a lifetime for these kids.

I'ma hold off my prognostications for Justin's contest and keep my cards face down for awhile...LOL

DHB is gone and I think you are right on AYERS. I want AYERS to make it and pray he has a couple great play-making games to help convince the coaching staff. I would even like him to return a PUNT to the house just for as ***** and giggles......... All your predictions could very well be true and with that being put out here this early, takes a little courage as the "I told you so's after the fact". GREAT job and hats off to yaz.

Solid. I'd rather trade Coates for whatever draft pick they can get for him and keep the next best special teams guy, or take a cut player from another team.

or take a cut player from another team.

This is the biggest unpredictability factor in the whole process of trying to guess what the teams will do. Could change the whole makeup.

Great calls Slash.

The only problem I have with Ayres getting cut and trying to stash him, is he will go to a team we HATE. It will either be the Ravens, Pats, or Browns. I for one would not like an enemy poaching our roster and getting a productive player.

This kid has been my camp favorite from the get go, would be ecstatic to see him make the team. Great kid, huge heart and a talented downhill runner. I loved what I saw from him at Azusa Pacific and thus far in camp and vs Giants. I figure he'll get an extended look next few games as well. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Dangerfield after he played is going to stay. Is a better back up than Golden

Perhaps IR him if he is still injured?

As was mentioned I think Dangerfield shined, and with the competition for one S spot, it was roster saving needed.

On Watson I keep going over the roster, perhaps he will need to beat out a RB to get a spot. As initially I gave him a spot without doing a 53 breakdown. With keeping simply as a extra back. But perhaps that is a luxury the team can't afford, in the process of sacrificing another depth position in the process.

Thanks to Williams, I now have decision problems not only at WR but at RB too.

This team looks a lot stronger depth wise than it has for awhile. This cut-down is gonna hurt some serious good young players, hopefully they will be scooped up by decent teams.

and one prediction cemented

It’s also unknown if Adams will be eligible to return this year. The NFL expanded their IR-to return list by passing a rule to allow two players to be placed on this list instead of one. They’ve also changed the rule to allow teams to not announce a to-return player until such a move has been decided, allowing teams to wait it out and see how players recover/rehab before making a final decision. In order to qualify to return, a player must begin the season on the team’s 53 man roster, just as Bud Dupree did in 2016.

Both news to me. I was not aware that they had to be on the 53 man roster before going on IR and designated to return.. That's obviously a sticking point here.

Falco's bold roster prediction. There will be 53 players on the roster at the end of preseason. None of which will be used properly. Some at vet minimum but yet looking good in black and gold.

Some camp darling is going to get axed while we keep a crusty vet in the same position and the crying here will be epic.. like always (sometimes by yours truly)

There is no use for DHB is a por mans Coates Same size , almost same speed, but older and With Ayers a possible solution to get AB off return duties along with if trey williams makes it. last spot should come down to DHB Ayers and Williams for offence.
