BuS has too many great moments to choose just one, but one that will stick in my mid was vs the Rats and it was an inside run over the Left Guard and Ed Reed came right up and met Bettis helmet to helmet and he ran right over Ed Reed and kept on going....it's on this highlight reel at the 2:10 sec mark....check it out it's brutal....Reed was in lala land after that one...being run over by a BuS!
Also in that Bears game earlier in the game BuS had his last big gain run of his career when he went through a hole on the left side for about 50 yds....I remember Hilgrove screamin...."THE BUS IS LOOSE" and Tunch & Billy were so jacked up...hoping he'd make it to the endzone but he was run down from behind but it was still a great run....I have a picture of it mounted on my wall in the Man Cave of that run.
Loved every minute of Bettis's career....the guy near gave me a heart attack in 2006 when he fumbled in that Colts game.....I seriously blacked out after that fumble for about 2 plays....all I remember was McFadden knocking the ball out of a receiver's hands in the endzone as Peyton took a shot deep....before Vanderjagt came on to miss the final kick.
One of the most memorable games for me was the very year we struck the deal with the Rams to acquire Bettis giving up a 2nd pick and a 4th rounder the following year (one of the best draft moves in Steelers history).
The Steelers faced the Rams later that year in '96 at Three Rivers and Bettis treated their defense like a hot knife through butter. At the end of the first quarter, he had two rushing touchdowns including a memorable 50 yard run where he simply outran their defense. By the half, he had already amassed 110 yards before leading the Steelers to a 42 - 6 thrashing of his former team.
Lots a great Bus moments, and one near fatal heart attack inducing play.
