I'll admit. Had a few after the game. But sometimes I think that brings out accuracy.
1. This team is not ready to contend: may make playoffs but no where ready to play with the big boys.
2. Hargreaves, Davis and Burns balled: Sorry Coach. When Davis played his natural position he kicked ***. One game. Sure. But he would have graded out real high. Hargreaves stood out. He was great against the run and pass. Burns keeps improving. Big night for him.
3. The talent is there: If you dial up the right calls between AB, Ben and Bell the ability is there. Ben did enough with half as much to win a SB.
4. The NFL sucks bag. We could sit here for twenty hours and I'd say the same thing. The refs did what they could to keep Indy in that game as long as they could.

1 At the very least the D coach needs to be canned at the end of the season
2 Mitchell had a nice bounce back game, he needed one.
3 Coates has no business playing until that finger is healed.
4 You can overcome a lot of things with a hungry, focused Ben.
5 The killer B's are who we thought they were.
6 The rookies are coming along nicely. They still make mistakes, but you are going to get that.
7 Green..... well welcome back from your injury, the hype finally showed promise.
8 People can thank the NFL for the shitshow from the refs, their lack of upgrade is obvious year to year.
9 I enjoyed the win........... been a while. Please Steelers continue to improve.

Some good and valid points ...

All have truth to a certain degree or another..

I think the Steelers were trying to keep the Colts in the game more than the refs though...

The non-aggressive offensive play calling after halftime baffled me... Also, Tolzien is well coached against the blitz, and when we went to "full cover" he struggled, but we continued to send heavy blitzing..... more than usual for us..

Davis gave up the touchdown. It wasn't an easy throw to defend.

Hargrave seems to have found his game

Hard to get a read if the Steelers rebounded. We played the worst team in the NFL and the colts without Luck could lose to Cleveland.

I will say the swagger is back on defense and that matters

Enjoy the time off Steeler Nation.

agree to all points, let me add that the playcalling sometimes was very questionable:
- on offense going long on 3rd and short at least three times. (Ben has to know when to gamble and when to move the chains)
- on defense leaving Timmons in coverage against TY Hitlon while the CB went on a blitz. It's like using a spoon to cut the meat and the fork to eat soup, very wrong use of resources. I get the surprise factor but ****, at least put a Safety on one of the best receivers on the league, not timmons

how did he "gave it up" if you admit it wasn't easy to defend? it was a zone coverage and Davis had no business even being so close to disrupting the pass. No one could have made a deflection there

Exactly...just what the doctored ordered though!

The game against the Eli's will give us a much better indication...

Worried about Beckham and Cruz against our rookies in the secondary obviously...

Home game and crowd noise should help the Defense get off the ball well...

hope Dupree gets in full form for that game, we need his pass rush badly

He stated he felt great after the game...Physically and mentally..

Seems that he was concerned about how his surgically repaired core would re-act...

I was worried also...that is the type of surgery that can alter a man's professional career..

Looking for big things from 48 the remainder of the year.

Coach -Polamalu got beat. Ike got beat. Clarke got beat. Hell they all do. But that kid was a physical presence out there. If you didn't see that. Sorry. You only see what you want. Him and Hargreaves were the two of the best defenders last night.

Hargraves was making plays last night and one of the few shining on the defense. I'll admit I am worried a bit about the defense on this playoff push. But it was a short week to factor in + holiday. So I kinda expected an ugly game. Offense looked in sync throughout. The Killer B's were fire. Greene did well. Need the other weopons to step up pronto now. AB and Bell did it all last night. Overall happy with a win

"Sigh".....that was Burns coverage on that play. Davis was the backend help. Artie hesitated to the flat and lost coverage.

You should read about coverage schemes.Maybe pick up Pat Kiran's book. You might learn something....or rather maybe a lot.

You are correct on the throw. QB threw it on a dime. Great ball placement.

Well another way to look at it is,.........Indy ONLY scored 7 points
It is now two wins in a row
Gotta start somewhere and this is a good start
Rookies are improving so as they improve, so will the competition

COACHING needs improvement (no arguement)

Salute the nation

I would like everyone's take on just before half when the Steelers let the clock roll out instead of saving it with a timeout. I know they must have felt they would stop Indy and didn't want to leave time for getting stopped and Indy getting the ball back. But If Indy scores there you wasted two minutes where the Steelers could have scored.

Well, having the ball inside the five yard line, it would've been stupid to take any chances and get aggressive. We could have very well given the colts the ball back with great field position or worse, we could have had a turnover and given them the ball back right there. God knows Indy had their hands on a couple of footballs last night. How would everyone have felt if we gave the colts the ball back at the 40 with a minute and change left, and they had finally punched it in and scored? I didn't have much a problem with the way they ended the first half.

I had no problems with it.

Dallas scored a touchdown with 42 seconds and three time outs against us. If Indy scored there, the Steelers potentially still could have had three (or in their case, two time outs) with some time on the clock.

I think if they would have used the timeouts they could have had like 1:52. Enough time for a possible TD.

This is a assuming we stop them. It worked out. I too was baffled. We don't live in our fears.

NO one could have stopped that TD throw....

Well that was my thinking. Like this is some next level **** Not unlike Hoodie who apparently baited Seattle into throwing by not taking a timeout. Now I could see this play from Hoodie, but our guy doesn't seem to understand basic strategy like 3-2 longbombs when they are trying to get control of the game and a field goal would look pretty good.

Tolzien played a helluva game. He had several drops that benefited the Steelers. He was forcing it at the end but in the beginning he read the defense and delivered to the open guy. Those two big defensive stops on the one put it away for us. Including that stuff of Tolzien by Davis. He came in like a bullet and laid the wood.

1 At the very least the D coach needs to be canned at the end of the season.

I've said before that it's hard to tell how much of the D's problem is coaching and how much is on Tombert for giving LeBeau and Butler jack **** to work with. Still, short of a miracle and getting to the Super Bowl, I would fire the entire defensive coaching staff and whoever is scouting defensive players in the draft because their performance is below the line, obviously.
