As much as I love Munchak as the oline coach, making him offensive coordinator scares me, has he ever done it before?? I know he failed as a head coach....

Assistant head coach/oline coach and a raise sounds good to me

By that logic Bill Bellichick should never be a good coach because he "failed" at Cleveland. Munch was in a no win situation in Tennessee and was set up to fail. Josh McDaniels was never an OC before he became one in NE. Bruce Arians was never an OC before he got promoted in Pitt.

Well at least Belicheat had some experience doing his job before NE hired him

McDaniels has done well in NE only, as have many Belicheat assistants.

We have 2-3 years with Ben left, I'd rather not do on the job training...

Tagging Munch as the Assistant HC wouldn't stop him from leaving to be a HC. It's a promotion. If he to the ACH designation it would be so he can't leave to be another team's OC or DC. Exactly what we did with Grimm.

From what I see, he didn't like the Arizona situation and declined.
