Multiple Steelers Added To Covid Reserve List

Not sure why fans aren't supposed to like a player possibility putting a playoff outcome at risk. I think that is a reasonable dislike. As far as what the NFL does obviously they feel it is a dangerous situation even if you don't.

What I am saying is there is some hypocrisy in that. By this way of thinking, any of us, if we have done anything that could expose us, and have gone to work, we are risking the people at work, the company and livelihoods. Should we be judging? Because lives and livelihoods are a hell of a lot more important than a football game.

I am sorry to hear about the cancer patient. I have dealt with much cancer in my family. It is terrible. Hang in there.

However, I'm sorry, I just do not understand the term selfishness in some of these situations. Is going to Lowes selfish if you need to fix something. Or getting groceries you need? That is just as risky as having someone over to the house. I don't like the judgement aspect of it. I think it needs to stop. This is an upside down world when having someone over is considered wrong, but going into a store with a hat on and a face covering only exposing your eyes is considered good. I am not saying there should not be masks, I am just exposing how, this time a year ago, those two positions would be reversed.
It can be selfish if you aren't taking the right steps. You can order and pickup outside for Lowe's or have it delivered. Same with groceries. You can social distance even if you go to a store right? What's the odds of social distancing inviting people over? Think they wore masks as well? I know why my friends got it. They all took risks. When you are at the end of the season and playoffs are upon us why not minimize risks?

No hypocrisy if we knew they took an unneeded risk. Haden put people at risk. Having friends over isn't a necessity. If my family member put me at risk I would call them on it. And be a lot rougher than I was here.

Have you held your friends in the same contempt as you seem to be Joe Haden? If not, why?

Ok. I can respect that. I do not agree with it, but if you are consistent...

Their job is football and you're one week away from competing in a tournament to win a championship. I don't think it's out of line for playoff teams to take a few extra precautions to make sure you're healthy and ready to play. It's why Tomlin is resting key starters.

My friends didn't cause me health issues or compromise my teams chance at a playoff win. Hey it isn't like I wouldn't be cheering on the guy in the next round of the playoffs if the team makes it that far. We can agree to disagree too that's fine also. As a good debate we gave different angles. I just prefer the players and coaches not to decrease our odds for victory. Our OC doesn't need any assistance in this area.

I was thinking more about this, and hw do we truly now where he got it? We are automatically assuming it was through some irresponsible action.

I got the damn thing over Thanksgiving. What was so ironic to me is that over the summer, I will admit, I took risks. I went camping, for example. I was at Hickory Run State Park, and used the public shower house and remember thinking if I walk out of here without the Covid, I'll never get it. Anyway, I teach school, and when the kids returned in early October (we were virtual until then) I pretty much shut it down. I didn't want to be responsible for anything. From late October up until Thanksgiving, with the increases we all were reading about, I tightened up even more, and don't I get it over Thanksgiving. What the hell?

My point is I was being responsible, trying to do the right things and still got the thing. I think in many ways it's luck of the draw, and I will not be judgemental of anyone over it.

See that is the whole thing in a nutshell. Especially at this time in the season don't take risks. As I mentioned a few times we don't know if he took risks. But it seems the odds are he did/ as we can point to his entertaining guests as one questionable decision it isn't unreasonable to think there was more.

BTW you are in a high risk job you interact with kids who are prone to not following rules. You can't help but to have contact, hard to limit exposure there.

So many things are in place to help players avoid exposure. But if I had to place a Vegas bet I would bet against Haden daily taking the smart approach.

Diver, I’m not worried where he got it from. Maybe he was shutting it down and someone in his family brought it home. Maybe he was getting groceries. When I talk about taking extra precautions I’m talking about not having your teammates and their families over.

Kids are the great spreaders of any illness. Family as well is showing to be the highest spreader of this virus. It's why Xmas was shut down since ThankX got us the huge spike in cases.

I think getting groceries is semi safe in the grand scheme due to distancing rules mask rules and the stores disinfecting.

That definitely is a safer approach than family gatherings which seem to be a popular Covid breeding ground.

**** even with stores you can pick up outside most places or have it delivered to your house. food is the same way. So many ways to limit exposure if people wish.

Yep because more often than not they aren't taking following the mask and distance protocols.

I don't blame them, they're too young to understand, or follow the rules. My daughter put EVERYTHING in her mouth when she was young. And this lasted until she was 6. Illnesses are always the worst and easiest to spread when children are around.

During spikes we just get curbside deliveries for groceries.

Oh children yeah they are still learning I don't blame them. It is a hard adjustment for kids as they are so active.
