On a side note, it's pretty cool of Haden to invite a complete newb/nobody (Cassius Marsh) to his house and meet the family...very cool of Joe.

Is it? I don't go anywhere due to Covid and I don't invite people over. There is a pandemic going on and rules in place. Not too safe entertaining guests right now. In a normal set of circumstances it would be cool. In a not so normal set of circumstances he got Covid and might have given it to our best receiving TE to boot. I am willing to bet not having our best players available for the playoffs might contribute to a not so cool ending. Especially in a potentially close game where one or two plays can make a difference. Then you know he didn't make the right decision so how he got Covid might have been due to a poor decision as well.

if ebron misses wilcard game yyou have to use Chase as a te/wr dress Gentry get chase to run some deep posts and have washington run a vertical and that could free a lot of area under

This is where I am with this as well. Very cool under normal circumstances but with the playoffs on the horizon, I would've been extra careful with everything I did.

Sure it is selfish. But even our head coach was selfish once that I know of. Whatever whatever but knowing the playoffs is right on the door step just isn't very smart.

Video chat, zoom, etc. that is how we spent Christmas with family.....

How the **** these get togethers between teammates are taking place is beyond me.......... and they are so f....ing stupid that they post it on social media....... lost respect for Joe Haden as a leader for hosting and expected nothing less from a big mouth dope like Ebron for accepting and posting on IG

If we go one and done in the playoffs with multiple starters sitting on the sidelines because they chose to do selfish and reckless things I'll be pissed.

If Tomlin had a ball sack this **** would not be happening without major consequences..........meaning being released from the team..... no matter who you are

I have been working my A$$ off lately.....and yes outdoors away from others...... so much that I am not up to date on everything......... what are you referring to regarding Tomlin ? Slash
 
what vet TE are available that have game experience only other option if Fitchner had a brain is use Chase a TE in the slot and at times split out he will need 10 targets vance you need to block as the line has been so bad aside from 2nnd half where ben had all day.

Something I haven't talked about but there was a time during the pandemic he was in Oakmont (Oct 17th) outdoors eating with his wife. (No masks) Just a risk that had no result so I didn't think it really needed to be thrown out with the season going well.

NICE rant but also very true. I can say I'd expect more but then I consider how selfish & stupid these guys are so nothing surprises me when it comes to doing what's right amongst these players.

Um how would that be different than eating in a restaurant which was allowed at that time... you don’t wear a mask while eating... and its not like he is sleeping in another room from his wife... nothing there is an issue

I knew someone would say this.

No matter if it was allowed per state protocol. It was a selfish risk. I haven't went out to eat the whole pandemic knowing that a significant risk existed.

It only isn't an issue because it didn't have a result. But let's not pretend he did the right thing there.

If this was a large function with close contact and no masks while socializing before eating a buffet I would raise an eyebrow. If he was just eating a meal with his wife at an outdoor patio not so much...
 
Im pretty surprised by a lot of the responses here. I thought most people on this board were anti-mask / anti-covid rules in general. People talk about going to the gym or ripping their mask off once they get in the store etc etc so not sure how its fair to rip Haden here.

Still strangers were there, just as much chance at getting it with individual contact. I know this as my close friend and a work buddy both got Covid with limited contact. Covid doesn't care if you just are at a table instead of a buffet. You still have people interacting.

A lot more is at risk for a NFL player or coach compared to a random gym member.
