More lies and BS on L. Green

They usually avoid taking any accountability for mistakes; that is why we never really know who makes what decisions. Personally, I'd prefer they man up and take responsibility. Why hide. Come clean. Live clean, white man from town. Live clean.

White man???

IF we stick this guy on IR to return, and then he doesn't return, that's some serious BS.

Thought they switched the way the return IR operates to where you don't have to designate who returns, team is just allowed 1 return from a player that has been on IR for 8 weeks making this a more flexible thing to use, at any rate they put him on PUP list so kind of a moot point.

Who are "they"? Pretty large assumption on your part. You incline that the ownership and front office are not taking accountability for something, and "man up and take responsibility." when you don't even know all the facts. Forget the notion that there are HIPAA laws in place that protect everyone, the symptoms of headaches are subjective and cannot be measured in pure clinical fashion, plus there is due process that is most definitely being implemented internally with the league. Making an accusation on a player and/or an organization (Chargers) that circumvented the Free Agent process is not something to toss out publicly or lightly. If there evidence to indicate such, it will not be released by the team, but through the league.

Why hide, come clean, live clean....you are living in a fantasy world. NFL is a business a multi-billion dollar business and there are moving parts to that business that is handled per business law. You seem to forget that any admission from the FO, would incline commenting a medical history (which they are not supposed to initially release publicly) on a player which is protected under the CBA, not to mention Federal Law.

I wonder of the contract had any good faith or health clauses in it? The fact that Tomlin and Colbert have said so little could signal there's some legal activity going on right now.

I'd settle for letting Green keeping his signing bonus, and getting back the rest of the deal / cap space.

We need to re-sign Brown and DeCastro.

The fact that there is so little said probably means there are so few need to know except the FO and Green and his agent. At some point he will either play or there will be some arbitration over the signing. Won't do any of us a damn bit of good to know any more till then. Or to try to assign any blame.

I would not blame Tomlin on this one. I would blame Colbert and the front office for not implementing any verbiage in the contract that stipulated if any prior injury kept him from playing as a Steeler we could void the contract and he'd have to return the signing bonus. Then I would blame the medical staff for not finding the lingering concussion and perhaps not knowing his ankle was not going to be fully healed. And then I would blame Green for bold face lying to the team and medical staff.

Way to bring logic/reason to the discussion Ford.

I blame Tomlin for things like poor judgement in talent evaluation, questionable in game decisions, time management...you know the things he is supposed to control. Unfortunately for him this forum will find a way to blame him for all problems/issues Steeler related though. Pretty sure he doesn't sit up late at night reading the dribble and losing sleep over it though.

Such verbiage is not allowed due to the CBA. However, there are clauses regarding compensation due to being on one of the various Reserve Lists. If it was injury related, CBA protect the players. If Green wasn't forthcoming with any other symptoms then there is a paper trail to follow. Such as why was or wasn't he in Concussion protocol when his contract ended? That's a responsibility of the club. Fair play among the franchise rules. As for the medical staff, that's what the concussion protocol is for. DOCUMENTATION. If there wasn't any admittance during contract negotiations, how can the medical staff be blamed? Its a subjective symptom. If he wasn't forthcoming how can they find the etiology? Its not a mechanical symptom that can be identified via x-ray/MRI, examination etc. for like orthopedic or muscle/skeletal etiologies.

Ike please stop you are making too much sense

And I think this is what Green is looking for. Whether for near term incidents,, or for down the road at retirement.

Oh ya, I forgot they changed that. Makes more sense now.

Ladarius Green (ankle) says he hopes to practice as soon as eligible. He's on the PUP list, so he'd be eligible after six weeks. Wants to put on pads.

I bet he does. He just saw Jesse James do a decent job as the starting tight end and L. Green realizes the Steelers are pretty ******* serious about getting their signing bonus back.

Yeah....Maxi-Pads, f'n *****.

Look, I just want the guy healthy.... seriously james is fine, but Green could be great... this offense needs to drop 40+ regularly and not be able to be shut down easily... The D may get better, but it needs to play with a lead, IMO

I wouldn't mind Green coming to the Steelers. However we have no idea what he can do or how long it will take him to gel with Ben.

At this point it will likely take him half a season to even get in synch with the team.

I wish there was a lemon law in the NFL. If a player fakes injuries in free agency than can't play because he's hurt, you can cut him and get the cap space back.

Green has way more talent, if healthy. Geling won't be a concern AT ALL. He has Ben MFing Roethlisberger throwing to him. Ben will put the ball in his hands, Jessie's hands, Grimble's hands, or Johnson's hands. It doesn't matter who it is, they just have to hang on, though Green gives us the best potential for splash plays out of all of them.

Have no idea what to even say about Green. Hope he can get healthy and get on the field.

It makes me sick to think about the what could be's of this team if Green, Martavis, and Bell would stay healthy/out of trouble. Our offense would be unreal with Bell/Deangelo in the backfield, Martavis and AB on the outsides, Rogers/Wheaton in the slots, Green at TE. That's one hell of a lot of weapons for Ben to work with.

Do you think Rogers even makes the team with Martavis out there? I don't think he's on the active roster. Not with AB, Wheaton, Bryant, Coates and DHB ahead of him. Maybe a big season by Rogers makes Wheaton expendable at year's end into free agency but that would also depend on Coates developing more.

Coates would have been cut in that situation. I think Coates has more upside than DHB, but DHB can do just about what Coates can plus he plays great special teams. Eli was running with the first team all pre season, and like it or not, he's the top slot receiver on our team. That gets you a hat.

if Bryant was going to play this year DHB would not have made the team, ben has been pimping Rogers since last year and after the gm 1, I think we may have our new Randle EL- QB.
I really hope Green gets the green light to start practicing with him and Brown Coats Bell James/Wheaton/Rogers think of all the quick release plays ben can call in a 4 and 5 wr set
SE left of Ben Green
Flanker Coats
slot Brown
in lie James

5 wide *******
