Moncrief

They are afraid the Steelers will get pissed at them and refuse future press coverage. Which is why you often see fluff journalism.

I think I have seen local guys say they can't report what they see at practice unless it is confirmed by someone else on the team. I mean, if these are team or league rules then they should be concerned about staying within the restrictions since I assume they want to stay employed.

Why not let the coaches figure it out, and then when Mongrief is ready, let him spring into action to surprise the enemy.

No I'm questioning all the local best writers who cover the Steelers daily. They have to see .

I get that but my point was the MEDIA picks and chooses what ever they want or agenda to fill, local or national.

Salute the nation

He missed a lot of camp. And 1st team offense was rarely seen in preseason. Fan's never had a chance to see the writing on the wall. Nothing was reported of substance . We need a mark Madden in the press Corp. All these Bob labriola types gotta go.

If they cut him they have to eat his cap hit. It puts us over the cap is things stand today and leaves no money to sign anyone should there be another injury.

If we keep him we can lose out on our comp pick for Bell. A decision needs to be made very soon.

But that's my point. How did we get to a point where cutting him mid season is even thought about? He's played in maybe what 3 games , one of which he had one target, which he caught.
