Even though we don't hit every need...this draft gives us a LOT of BPA opportunities.
Supe, I'm your Huckleberry!

I go with:

15. -Justin Gilbert - CB - He's bigger, stronger and faster than Dennard and won't get penalties as much, IMO. Dennard will.

46. - Ra'Shede Hageman - DE - Hate him in round #1, LOVE him in round#2

97. - Stephon Tuitt - DE - Unbelievable if he falls this far BUT we have "insurance" against Heyward getting hurt OR not re-signed (leverage) next year. I might also consider Christian Jones here (if Tuitt wasn't so tempting) as a "sub-package" ILB/OLB.

118. - Dontae Montcrief - WR - Seeming that a "run" on WRs is happening, I need to get a big WR option before they are all gone. Montcrief will do.

145. - Justin Ellis - DT/NT - A face is not a face without a "nose". He has the goods to be disruptive.

157. - EJ Gaines - CB - I do NOT like Purifoy at all nor Roberson as I see both as liabilities in coverage. Meet Deshea Townsend II.

173. - Marcel Jensen - TE - Since we need "red zone targets" and a blocking TE to replace Spaeth soon, here is your guy.

192. - Shaq Barrett/Devin Street - WR - Either one will do as an eventual "Hines Ward" blocking WR with an ability to be an outlet pass target.

215. - Telvin Smith - S/LB - No way this kid is still here BUT if his size scares some away from projecting him at LB...why not have him take Troy's spot as a 3rd LB. He has played the position, he is explosive and faster than Troy.

230. - Arthur Lynch - TE - If this guy had more consistent hands, he might be even better than Miller was last year. He projects as a potential replacement as we work out the kinks. Miller, Spaeth, Jensen and Lynch > Miller, Spaeth, Paulson, Palmer.

I'm not doing a mock but I can't see any other combination than the best CB and best WR available in rounds 1 and 2. Other than Brown at WR, we have nothing solid. No true number 2 yet on the roster - just a bunch of fill ins or camp bodies. And, we need a new fast, physical CB. I just can't see us going another direction until the 3rd round.

#17- CJ Mosley ILB Alabama
Thin ILB group this year and Mosley is head and shoulders better than the rest.

#46- Stanley Jean-Baptiste CB Nebraska
6-3 215lb former WR that has wheels and hands. Should match up with those big receivers nicely.

#97 Stephon Tuitt DE ND
Losing Ziggy, woods, and maybe Keisel leaves us thin at DE. Great value/need pick.
#118- Morgan Moses OT Virginia
Sticking with my board I take Moses. He's a solid second round grade and gives munchak someone to work with.

#157- Morgan Breslin OLB USC
Breslin is a very good pass rusher and if not for injury could have been a second round pick.

#173- Telvin Smith S/LB FSU
great football player find a spot for him.

#192 Jeff Janis WR Saginaw Valley
A ton of potential.

#215- Chris Watt OG ND
Way too good of value to pass.

#230- Dri Archer RB/WR kent st
Explosive athlete who is dangerous when has the rock.

Yea that has to be the most homerish mock I have ever seen in my life haha

A draft were we can land the #1 WR, #1 CB, and a 1st round grade DE picking 15th in the draft

Not being a homer at all, I know that Evans wont fall to the 2nd round, but that is the way the mock draft at the site worked out.

I used the waltzer football big board. I'm happy with this draft, yo walk away w Dennard and Moseley. Then Moncrief was the icing on the cake. I think Sunseri is a gamer, and before he got hurt he was making splash plays. The type of guy that can play special teams for a few years and play as a backup.
