Mock draft

LOVE love the Proctor pick at 21.

We have to get Jones out of the starting lineup...if he can actually 'play' at all. He's been nothing short of terrible, and it's his contract year.

Let's get another round of Mock the Mock. Here's Matt Miller's (ESPN.com) 7-round mock draft. Always like to see what everyone does with the same draft board.

1.21 Omar Cooper Jr., WR, Indiana
Terrell and Banks were temping, I'm just ready to see more firepower on offense.

2.53 Lee Hunter, DL, Texas Tech
I think he'd be a natural fit along the defensive line.

3.76 Keylan Rutledge, G, Georgia Tech
I think the Steelers like Spencer Anderson, eh. We'll see. Rutledge is a guy who I think can start and play well early on.

3.85 Davison Igbinosun, CB, Ohio State
Sure the Steelers have two legit starters with JPJ and Dean, but Igbinosun's length and speed is too good to pass up.

3.99 Chris Brazzell II, WR, Tennessee
This type of size and speed, yeah, I'm cool doubling down at WR.

4.121 Jakobe Thomas, S, Miami
I like this pick here. Good size and speed. Solid upside for this point of the draft.

4.135 Darrell Jackson Jr, DT, Florida State
I thought I may have been done with DL and considered Lawson, but Jackson is too good to pass up here.

5.161 Drew Shelton, OT, Penn State
Building depth at OT.

6.216 Julian Neal, CB, Arkansas
Most draft analysts have him ranked much higher.

7.224 Jack Pyburn, EDGE, LSU
The more mock drafts I do, the more I want to trade picks to move up and get fallers or trade for future picks/veterans. It's tough to find 12 rookies.

7.230 Jack Kelly, LB, BYU
Captain and

7.237 Tanner Koziol, TE, Houston
Played at Houston, so he must be a stud.
No shot on a day three quarterback? Or were they all gone day 2?

1.21 Proctor OT/OG, he can be developed for either position. Both are in need. Ideally I would trade down in this scenario.
2.53 Jacob Rodriguez, ILB
3.76 Bud Clark, S
3.85 Skyler Bell, WR
3.99 Chris Brazzell II, WR
4.121 Devin Moore, CB
4.135 Darrell Jackson Jr DT

Switch out proctor for hunter and that’s a grade A first four rounds..

I just have to admit that every draft I do, after the 3rd round or some years the 2nd, I do not know anyone.
Don't follow college ball enough.

So I look at what everyone else does and then I start drafting those names I see over and over.
My 1st 2 picks are usually killer though

I played a mock draft with some people and of course I picked the Steelers. I had to choose a second team to have enough participants (Ugh)

Anywho here is my Steelers picks:

1. Omar Cooper Jr. WR will be on the field with DK and Pittman. A nice threesome.

2. Chase Bisontis In play for the LG start -a nasty mauler.

3A. Domonique Orange - will solidly NT

3B. Kamari Ramsey -S- will give SS depth ( my least favorite pick as my favorites were gobbled up but didn’t want to lose out on S depth)

3C. Nick Singleton RB - will add speed to that room with Warren and Rico

4. Garrett Nussmeier - his last year was an injury mess but the year prior was attractive to look at. A developmental possibility.

4B. Eric McAlister - A nice sleeper who should be able to handle WR 4.

5.Tanner Koziol TE- a productive sleeper will back up Muth and MT. Washington

6.Isaiah World OT- An injury caused him to slide, a big boy who can move. (acquired in a trade up)

7. Kaden Wetjen - IMO the best returner in the draft

After McCarthy's recent comments on QB size, I'd eliminate Simpson, Nussmeier, and Klubfoot from any mocks.
Only thing is we really don’t know his cut off height, etc.

His perimeters might be different than what we perceive.

Favre, ARod, and Dak are all 6'2", probably a good cutoff. But all had 31"+ arm length and big mitts over 10 inches.

Klubnick: 6'2", 31 1/8" arms, 9.25" hands.
Simpson: 6'1", 30 7/8" arms, 9 3/8" hands
Nussmeier: 6'2", 30 3/8" arms, 9 1/8" hands

Also have to wonder, if that's true, why all the hype from him over Will Howard, who has exactly 9" hands? It is lying season, after all.

When you are playing poker,

bluff.

His perimeter is quite wide, now his parameters we don't know
Good catch, no worries I will butcher a lot much more of the language.

😅
