Lol at all the teams passing up on Lamar. He was amazing in college too but still was over looked. Lol damn[/QUOTE

What bothers me more than anything is what we got for passing on Lamar Jackson - Terrell Edmunds. Reminds me so much of the 1984 draft where we passed on Marino to pick Gabe Rivera and waited nearly 20 years for our next shot at a great QB. One thing Baltimore does is build their offense around the QB skill set - what a concept. I thought it was interesting in one of their games that their TEs have more catches that the WRs.

I’ve watched most of their games and this is correct. You don’t even have to watch to know this, common sense tells you based on stats and how football works.

Except when you watch the games and see him doing the stuff you say he can't do.. like drop back read the defense and make throws

49ers might have something to say about that

Ravens run a very risky offense, LJ doesnt slide or run out of bounds. That could catch up to them if teams start treating him like a RB and take a few flags and pound him every down

This'll be the game of the season to date. That 49ers defense is fun to watch.

As much as I despise the Ravens watching the game last night , they do a lot of things we do not come close to doing. Makes me sick to say but Hairbaugh went out and changed this team and it is showing on the field. The Ravens has a good flow to their offense and defense, we live on the third and out flow. I know we have injuries but the Rat Birds have the look right now

Everyone calm down.....Hoodie will have the perfect defensive plan for him come playoff time in foxborough. Nobody else will, but by god hoodie will.

Either that, or someone is going to light Lamar's *** up when he is running just like we seen with all these other running QB's. He is getting pretty cocky now, better be careful what he is asking for.

how is he "getting pretty cocky"?

Not surprising that teams were cautious. He scored alarmingly low on the Wonderlic. 13 is very low for a QB.

Quarterbacks
Name Wonderlic Score College NFL Team Pick
Baker Mayfield 25 Oklahoma Browns 1
Sam Darnold 28 USC Jets 3
Josh Allen 37 Wyoming Bills 7
Josh Rosen 29 UCLA Cardinals 10
Lamar Jackson 13 Louisville Ravens 32
Mason Rudolph 28 Oklahoma St. Steelers 76
Kyle Lauletta 29 Richmond Giants 108
Mike White 27 Western Kentucky Cowboys 171
Luke Falk 29 Washington St. Titans 199
Tanner Lee 26 Nebraska Jaguars 203
Chase Litton 24 Marshall Undrafted NA
Riley Ferguson 21 Memphis Undrafted NA
Kurt Benkert 37 Virginia Undrafted NA
J.T. Barrett 19 Ohio State Undrafted NA

yeah, when mason rudolph turns into the second-coming of john elway, i'll give the wonderlic more creedence. the wonderlic is a joke of a metric to use.

Never talked about for some reason is the ravens OL, that is where a lot of credit should go. They are damn good.

They've all been healthy, till now

They just lost their center for the year

Not wishing bad on injuries but just noting the good **** you've been posting, thanks.

Salute the nation

Jackson is now the greatest of all time. He’s setting a new record weekly, huge passing yards in every game, not to mention possibly the best RB the league has ever seen, as well. He hasn’t even played a full football season yet.. can we just give him 15 SBs, MVPs, and HOF jacket now?

The league is changed forever.

Exactly he was asked about the MVP and immediately begin talking about winning a super bowl being more important.

Lol cause he has improved smh

LOL, Earl Thomas said "whoever we play in the Super Bowl is going to be in trouble"

It sucks that they are winning. But it really really sucks how they are winning. Tough defense and ball control. That's what used to define us.

Baltimore's offensive line and running schemes right now are just making the game super easy for Jackson.

It's just old school football. I'm seeing plays with 22 personnel (2 RB's, 2TE's). They are running plays with 1 WR out side and everyone else inside the hash marks. They max protect on plays hoping for big plays downfield or Jackson scrambling out of the pocket if they aren't there.

I've said for ages, this is possible because teams have been going smaller and quicker on defenses forever (Steelers included). LB's are safeties now. Baltimore has 4 TE's on the roster. They've been extremely healthy on the offensive line (up until now). And Jackson is super healthy and playing quick. Ingram's legs look to have a lot of "pop" in them as well.

Ingram is running over people. The Rams front 7 isn't bad, but Baltimore Offensive line and run schemes just embarrassed them.

Sometimes this just runs (pun intended) its course. Jackson won't stay this fresh looking and explosive forever. Ingram will wear down. The offensive line won't stay this good. They won't be able to pay all their TE's.

In order to beat Baltimore you have to win on 1st down. You have to dare them to pass on 1st down. You can't let them manage down and distance because there are just too many trick plays to run with Jackson running all over the place. And of course, you have to get a hat on Jackson when he runs. Hold him up, gang tackle him, be physical. Make him feel it the next day.

Belichick will figure something out. You watch. He will stack the line with 8-9 guys on first downs. He'll play 5 linebackers and 3 DB's. He'll go back to a 2-gap scheme with his D-linemen.

A 2-gap system would really help vs. Baltimore right now, but no one plays that anymore (or has the personnel to do it).

This reminds of the year Cam and the Panthers went 15-1 and got smoked in the SB. They haven’t been good since. Everyone thought that was going to be the norm for them going forward. All things are clicking for the Ravens right now.. we’ll see if it lasts.
