They’re peaking a little too early I think.... in the last month they’ve beaten the Pats by 17, the Seahawks by 14, the Texans by 34, the Rams by 36, the Bengals by 32 I think it was... impressive to say the least, but I just don’t think they’ll sustain this level of play over 5 more weeks of regular season and 3, possibly 4 playoff games if they make it to the Super Bowl.

But if you watch the safeties playing the ravens tgey are transfixed on LJ the second he steps up in the pocket. everyone is still so ******* worried about him running that he freezes them in coverage... its tge exact same thing we saw with cam Newton and RG3 early on... at some point teams will realize they can hurt them through the air and will not overplay the run... I just don’t understand how so few people remember this from the half dozen QBs we’ve seen it with now... does anyone pay attention to non afc north football? I mean we are supposed to be in the unstoppable RG3 era or be watching Cam Newton win his umpteenth mvp...

You get early returns on these guys then they peter out... even the ones with good accuracy...
it just becomes a different game once teams quit playing them as a novelty...

I mean think of how we played Tebow that year... we over respected his run game and he gashed us through the air...

Watch tge safeties and any lb in coverage against LJ... you can see them stopping on hip fakes... that just doesn’t last. Teams figure out that they can pass then they throw elaborate coverages at them and trust the dline to stop tge run... and no QB should be running 10 times a game... thats just stupid... they already are taking five or so hits a game as qbs... add ten to that and you are reaching RB territory and RBs never stay healthy...

On the plays where the Ravens spread teams out and all he does is drop back. No fakes just dropping back. He threw three or four TDs. Of course you still have to honor the scramble but he isnt even doing that he is just standing in the pocket reading the defense and throwing strikes

Hear me out here. If it is a gimmick, and I don't necessarily disagree, why haven't teams pulled out tape of RG3, Cam Newton, or Colin Kaepernick and just use that as a starting point to shut this down? And if it is a gimmick, why do NFL defenses keep falling for it over and over? You would think there would be more than enough tape to watch to figure this thing out.

The last team to keep it close with them is Bengals(first meeting), believe it or not. I read this morning that their offense has outscored their last three opponents something like 135-26. That's sick.

Relax. Jackson is a flash in the pan. Honestly, he’s a gadget QB and nfl defensive coordinators (not Butler) will scheme to stop him. I personally feel you need either a backer like Bush to shadow him or an extra safety and then show the offensive coordinator an obvious weakness presnap then before the snap fill that by sliding, doubling whatever to it.
See, what I see from Jackson is he runs the play that the OC tells him and it’s absolutely no reading the defense by him. It’s throw to X or Y or Z because that’s the first and only read. Then if you have a good tackler with decent speed taking away the improv runs, bam he’s done.
I feel the Cheats will have his number next time they play (playoffs) and the rest of the league will copy them for the 2020 season.

I do know that Booger was nauseating last night. Here probably compared Jackson to Vick 20x. It's hard to say what will happen with Jackson. The Charger? game last year he had like 3 completions before half time and then turned it on the second half. Teams could not really stop them last year and he has majorly improved this year. They are not just winning, but demolishing people. Flash in the pan or not this year they are playing like the best and most rounded team in the league

Seems there are so many on here that want him to fail. When he has his first really bad game and they lose you all will be saying I told you so. Maybe the guy bombs later this season. Maybe next season. Or maybe not. Either way he is having a hell of a season. Props to him. That said. I hope we beat the **** out of in week 17.

Watching the game last night, certain replays they showed, he was going through progressions before passing. Maybe not every time, but enough.

This was a strong prediction..

SPOILER ALERT: Rams blow out Lamar Jackson and Co.!
This week, I'm going to say the Los Angeles Rams will beat the Baltimore Ravens by 21 points. Is that bold enough? Well, consider this: The Rams are averaging 24.3 points per game in 2019, while the Ravens lead the league in scoring with 34.1 points per game. So, I'm essentially saying the Rams will either hold Lamar Jackson and Co. to three points OR drop a 50-burger on Baltimore. I rest my case.

It's all about the running game, he only threw for 169 yards, yes i know 5 TD's, but this is like the 4th or 5th time this season he didn't break 200 yards passing. You need to stack the line 3DL, to stop Ingram and the running game and have a spy on Lamar (Minkah or Bush) and play man defense to hopefully force tough throws. I'll admit I haven't watch a ton of Raven games, but I haven't seen him have to make many tight throws, seems their running game and his threat to run result in alot of easy throws.

Then you definitely weren't watching last nite

I don’t like the Ravens but I have been a Lamar fan since his freshman year at Louisville

They opened the game by running the ball down their thoats, and that opened huge passing lanes and open field for Jackson to take off and run for 30 yds whenever he wanted to.

They had no answer to any of it.

People obsessed with their little stat scribblings should just watch the games.

Jackson has been exciting to watch for sure. I'm looking forward to see how SF tries to defend him. They may be the most successful. I would like to see Pitt in a rematch with him at the end of the season for the last game-but- they may start RG3 to preserve LJ for the playoffs. He seemed to struggle a bit during our last meeting. That depends on seeding with NE. Regardless they'll get the 2nd bye whether they're the 1 seed or the 2 seed.

49ers might have something to say about that

Ravens run a very risky offense, LJ doesnt slide or run out of bounds. That could catch up to them if teams start treating him like a RB and take a few flags and pound him every down

Everyone calm down.....Hoodie will have the perfect defensive plan for him come playoff time in foxborough. Nobody else will, but by god hoodie will.

Either that, or someone is going to light Lamar's *** up when he is running just like we seen with all these other running QB's. He is getting pretty cocky now, better be careful what he is asking for.

Definitely the game I'm looking forward too. That front 7 of SF is just dominating. They decimated GB and Aaron Rodgers. Interesting to see how the Ravens ground game fares against them.

**** Baltimore and Hoodie, Buffalo is coming from no where to win the whole ******* thing.

I’ve watched most of their games and this is correct. You don’t even have to watch to know this, common sense tells you based on stats and how football works.

Not surprising that teams were cautious. He scored alarmingly low on the Wonderlic. 13 is very low for a QB.
