I agree with Spike. Donald was amazing, the Chiefs D got to Goeff and both teams made plays on both sides of the ball. Some say it was sloppy, but it was too high powered teams going at it.

I agree that QBs do have to take some blame for turning the ball over, even if they're slinging TDs.

My point was even with 5 TOs (3INTs and 2 Fumbles lost), they only lost by 3 and he will still be in contention for the MVP. He's leading the league in TDs and just added 6 more. I've never seen this much production in a 2 year player. Did Marino do the same TD wise when he came into the league?

I'm just pointing out that it's funny how one QB wins, but gets bashed(mainly by his own fan base) and the other loses and gets praised for a great game.
Ben came through when the pressure was on vs the best defense in the NFL, Mahomes didn't vs a so-so defense
Marino didn't get to play in this era, Manning has the record for TDs through 11 games in 2004, that was before the league went total pass happy.

As a whole, both defenses were absolute trash. Sooner than later the average TDs thrown by most QBs will be 50.

seems like the Rams D has regressed. Phillips should be able to get more out of the unit.

I know the answer to this question only because I recently watched A Football Life. In his second year, he threw 48 TDs, a record that stood for 20 years. Mahomes at this pace will probably throw 50+.
 
The defense has nothing going for them all rules are towards offense, really basketball score are not what football is about. I feel the same about the over announcing of games by Wit and Bo , I feel for the fans of either teams that play when they call the game, I'm sure a lot of hats thrown at the TV with their circle drawing, pointing the wrong a player does or does not do.
 
Very simple rule to change everything reasonably back to some form of what football was. The qb is protected in terms of hit must be in the strike zone. HOWEVER, they must make a reasonable attempt to throw to a receiver. It cant be fling it at the dirt beyond the LOS or 50 yards out of bounds with no one there. The purpose of the rule was to protect QBs but too many of them are taking two steps and burying it. Which is why intercept numbers are so low on some of these guys. If you don't want to get hit fine. Put the ball into danger. They are using the rule to protect QBs in a strategic way for results.

The one was due to a defensive player hitting his arm as he threw... the same player that scored two defensive TDs...

I know. We had two of the most explosive offenses in football. Its not like the Browns played the Jets and each team scored 45 points.
 
oh yeah, that so called "elite" crew hand picked for the game were all attention ******, yellow flags were flying on every down it seemed
 
Very entertaining to watch a game like this a couple of times a year. Not the greatest game ever like some suggested. I'm personally not a fan of video game football and will cry if the NFL turns into the Big 12.
 
A ton of points os just as boring as inept offensove football. hate the Big 12 type of football and it is quickly creeping into the NFL.
 
It started as a great game with offenses performing at a high level but then in the second half it just became a **** show of pathetic defense.

My opinion of both teams went way down after that game. Both defenses either get pressure or give up a big play.
 
Just watched it. Great game. Really great game. Don't get the hate.
