I like Gruden. He is a bit technical but I prefer that over the typical stuff you hear that a 5 yr old could point out. I thought Sean McDonough was terrible. I thought his voice was monotone. He just showed no emotion was so ever. I think Gruden needs someone a little more colorful for some balance.
 
Agree. Love Gruden, but that other dude sucks.
Get Kevin Harlan, I'm a fan of his after that call he did when the fan ran onto the field during the San Fran LA game. If you haven't heard it, look it up. ******* hilarious!
 
I like McDonough, though I get the baseball comment.

Ian Eagle and Kevin Harlan are two of my favorites. CBS needs to have these guys as their top two teams.
 
I was really laughing at the announcers of 49ers and Rams. The Rams problem is they haven't had a real home in 10 months. No the Rams problem is Kase Keenum. ****** joke.
 
I thought the announcers were idiots, their commentary sounds like it is geared for folks with the IQ of a congressman

Gruden's brother is the Redskins coach. He's an emotional guy and the @ss whipping I think threw him off his usual enthusiasm. I like Gruden.

I use to synchronize XM radio and the TV on mute. WAY freaking better!!!!!! I'd pause the TV about 3-5seconds and WhoaLA

I cannot stand Berman. His blowhard schtick is old, tired, and irritating.

I think their commentary is geared to the average fan-especially on Mon. night. Probably not a lot of people would understand Gruden if he really got technical..Sure wouldn't want him grilling me like he does college QB's on his pre draft shows-would probably shatter my illusions of my football knowledge.
 
I love Gruden too.

But generally, me and my friends won't pay attention to the commentor, because we comment the game throughout!! We are the better annoucer :D
 
I like John Gruden but sometimes he keeps hammering things over and over. However he has the creds.

For play by play, where is the heir to Keith Jackson?
 
I miss old school announcers like Chris Schenkel who didn't think a few seconds without an announcer talking about something was a bad thing.
