The Wallace TD (highlight of Wallace's life) was the SECOND time in the first quarter that he tried some half assed high arm tackle. Tried to do it on the Steve Smith 30yd gain earlier. Get this slob off the ******* field.
If he makes those 2 textbook tackling 101 plays, it's 3-0.
One another note-at what point in this game does offense remove head from sphincter?
He has been a huge disappointment. I hope they cut ties with him this off-season.
I actually thought Mitchell was playing better last year & this year he hasn't done anything outside of personal fouls and talking trash.
Those attempts at tackling were a joke.
Seriously at what point do the coaches just put the ball away and practice fundamentals?
Tackling around the shoulder pads gets you benched in every level of football except the pro level.
I've been losing faith in Mitchell this year, but this past game was his worst. His job is to be the last line of defense, and as a vet, he needs to fulfill that role.
On that 95 yd play instead of rushing up to the receiver and making the tackle he stood there flat footed waiting for Wallace to come to him.
His technique is pathetic and he is a piss poor tackler.
