The Wallace TD (highlight of Wallace's life) was the SECOND time in the first quarter that he tried some half assed high arm tackle. Tried to do it on the Steve Smith 30yd gain earlier. Get this slob off the ******* field.

Yeah he has played like **** so far.

yep. Got tricked by the one trick pony, and out-manouevred by the old man.

Not good enough.

I still respect Steve Smith-but apparently Mitchell doesn't.

Mitchell is not a ball hawk...I thought he was a thumper ?

we need a ball hawk back there.

Mitchell and Smith have a fued going on that began at Heinz last year.

Do we really have anyone that can play the ball, this secondary is a struggling QB's heart throb.

If he makes those 2 textbook tackling 101 plays, it's 3-0.

One another note-at what point in this game does offense remove head from sphincter?

Mike Mitchell is certainly no Ryan Clark! I think to this day Clark could have made that tackle on Wallace. Mitchell couldn't have taken a worse angle and technique on that tackle. It was DEPOLORABLE! He got TRUMP'ed!

What Ryan Clark did so well was stick to playing his position. He did his job and that was it. Sometimes it called for him to come up and make the big hit, but you rarely saw him out of position and never saw him allow the big play until he began to slow later in his career.

As soon as they go no huddle and get their QB going.

Instead of running every 1st and second down when they have the box loaded stuffing your run game every freakin play.

I actually thought Mitchell was playing better last year & this year he hasn't done anything outside of personal fouls and talking trash.

Those attempts at tackling were a joke.

Seriously at what point do the coaches just put the ball away and practice fundamentals?

Tackling around the shoulder pads gets you benched in every level of football except the pro level.

Mitchell sucks. At least he didnt commit any personal fouls this game. So, there's that.

Mitchell is pretty awful, he's so stiff out there and that is why is tackling is so bad. He does not bend and tackle, his tackles are all up high.

He has been a huge disappointment. I hope they cut ties with him this off-season.

I was not a fan of signing him a few seasons ago. Loud mouthed punk, penalty prone, does not play the ball. He is not a football player at that

Im sure the coaching staff tried doing that and the team responded by whining that practices were too physical.

I've been losing faith in Mitchell this year, but this past game was his worst. His job is to be the last line of defense, and as a vet, he needs to fulfill that role.

I would like to stuff Mike Mitchell's hand warmer down his throat. He is a non tackling, personal foul getting, loud mouthed piece of ****.
Yes, that's how I really feel. Pumpkin headed Fock.

he looked like Ike Taylor playing patty-cake with a receivers arms.

Mitchell is terrible

On that 95 yd play instead of rushing up to the receiver and making the tackle he stood there flat footed waiting for Wallace to come to him.
His technique is pathetic and he is a piss poor tackler.

his strength was the run, and when this doesn't become a strength anymore

time to try something new

besides a pass rusher this team could use a ball hawking FS.one that strength is attacking the ball not just content on a hit
