Just gotta throw this out there, I am not advocating his return to the Burgh. You gotta wonder a little how Ben would feel about it though.

Vikings released WR Mike Wallace.

This was perhaps the easiest decision Rick Spielman has made as Vikings GM. Coming off a forgettable 39-catch season, Wallace was owed nearly $12 million in salary and bonuses. A straight-line speedster, Wallace was a terrible match for weak-armed quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. Wallace turns 30 in August and is showing signs of decline. In a miserable free agent wideout market, however, Wallace is likely to draw interest due to his lid-lifting potential.

He was a heck of a player for us back in the day but I think the tread is off Mr. Wallace. As far as offensive weapons, I feel pretty good about their WRs at this point. I'd rather them focus on getting the TE position stabilized.

Eh, not really interested. We already have a one dimensional speed guy. Just re-signed him yesterday.

Look for the Rats to make a play for the "One trick pony". With his speed starting to diminish, so goes his career.

Not even for the vet minimum.

His head was bigger than his ability. Sorry, Mike, you ain't young money anymore. More like, poorly spent money.

Wasted money

Steel G and Litos with a diss. I do recall Wallace had a pretty damn good play in 2012 against the Giants. If the price is right. Why not? But yeah poorly spent money--wasted money

the thing is that he still will get about 4M from a team with a need, we can have DHB for 1,3M and help on ST too

Yeah. Lots of interest in 30 year old formerly fast wideouts these days. No way, in fact I might even venture to say no ******* way.
Blown money for the L

Greg Jennings signed a two year, $8 million contract with the Dolphins on April 23, 2015. Jennings received a $3 million signing bonus.
from overthecap, he was 31 years old when signed so it is possible that he gets that kind of contract, still if he gets 3M that's way more than we could/want to pay with so much talent already on the roster

He has value, but not for us... someone will pay him well... perhaps Detroit.... the guy was wide open all last season and bridgewater couldn't get him the ball to save his life. he has not lost a step...yet... but he is 30 and that step will go in a couple years... we have Brown Bryant, Wheaton, DHB and Coates in the wings... no need for him at all, plus he is going to get way more money than we'd want to pay from some other team... almost assured

as long as #10 stays clean we are good without.

He's not really a fit for the Steelers, as they have Bryant and Coats that can offer what Wallace can, assuming he hasn't lost more than a couple steps.

Coats, inparticular, was really impressive in the playoff game against a strong Broncos secondary.

I'm not saying he definitely will be the same caliber of player, but he reminds me a lot of Terrell Owens, from a physicality and skill set standpoint.

Don't need him. That said, he was smart in following the rule that "a fool and his money, are soon parted". Miami, and Minny were the fools, and the money ended up in Mike's bank account. Young Money is now "Big Money".

He never had as good a QB as he had here plus he pissed me off when he held out and slacked his last season here and simply played not to get hurt.

Maybe in a year or two for near the minimum if we don't go long term on Bryant. But no way now.

I liked Wallace, too bad he regressed. His toe-tap catch against Green Bay was one of my favorite at Heinz Field. If not for his demand for a huge contract, we may not have got one of the biggest steals when signing AB to a long-term deal.
