Mike Tomlin Press Conference 12pm Today

Adidi asked a tough question about team culture. Followed up with a question about if he needs to be more of a disciplinarian.
 
Sounds like the media is trying to ask hard questions. Capt. Blowhard with pat communication errors and preparations for a game and performance issues and uncertainties with the guys and accepting the embracing of the game in this environment blah blah blah. Can't stand this anymore.
 
Was asked about incident between Ben/AB said things happen all the time and something might've occurred but if it did, it was minor and not something not to worry about or give attention to.
 
Tomlin isn't coming out and saying it, but it certainly sounds like there will be some changes on the staff.

Anyone want to trade me all of my Steeler gear for Penguin gear? Conditional on needing it back when Tomlin gets fired.
 
Anyone see what AB posted during Tomlin's press conference? That guy is clueless.
 
The AB thing is a media blow-up. From what I have read the ask to be traded was a heat of the moment, off hand remark, not a demand.
His contract structure prevents any trade possibility, yet the media writes articles about possible trade destinations.
 
FWIW, James Harrison posts one on discipline right as the press conference ends. There are a couple of guys taking shots at Tomlin/the Steelers organization.
 
I think the man handled this difficult conference as openly and honestly as he could...

These types of issues deflect from our ability to focus on what matters most....our on the field performance.

I also feel that there will be some staff changes coming..but like I said, there will be no decisions made or internal moves happening until "The Holy Trinity" meets..

Like it not...this is the way the Steelers handle their business.
 
Well I learned a couple things...

Butler will be gone at the least, most likely others too.

Sounds like Tomlin knows he has to change his discipline method and the culture. I’m guessing this is what he’s been told needs to happen immediately.

The outline for communication with Brown was clearly stated. It is as such:

Brown said his knee hurt and didn't practice Wed, Thu.
Tomlin told him to have it MRIed on Fri
AB did not get his knee reviewed by MRI
AB skipped Saturday's walkthrough and did not contact the coach.
Tomlin decided AB would sit due to lack of communication (or being honest about his condition)
Rosenhaus called on Sunday saying AB can play
Tomlin told Rosenhaus that AB will not be playing
AB came to the game, and had a pre game discussion with Tomlin.
AB was at the game during warmups
AB left sometime during the game.

Those are the facts, and it sounds to me like AB is not being honest.
