By Jessica Costello SteelerNation.com   The COVID-19 pandemic is still leaving a few uncertainties for the start of the NFL season, but the Pittsburgh Steelers continue to prepare for the start of the season. One of those ways being, getting some new members of the coaching staff ready to coach the 2020 season. Ike Hilliard*is […]

Not crapping on the article. Well written, but I'd like to think he approves. They are his hires.
I am more confident in the Canada hiring than the WR coach. For me that is the bigger question mark. Not that Hilliard didn't have some solid coaching stats. Just screams of what I thought of Coach Drake. Just a hard act to follow, perhaps more of a selfish outlook on my part.

Nice write up Jessica and I thank you.

I'm on the wagon as Canada will make a difference. What I hope the most is his noticeable difference in how Randy Fitchner operates. Weather the threat of job security or just the whisper in the ear, none the less an influence that is noticeable.

As for Ike Hilliard, TIME will tell but originally I was hoping for a Hines Ward hire. Hilliard was a respectable player but let's see if he can be that as well in a coaching platform. I know, I know....... He has coaching experience but until we see it, I will hold on judgement of ability. He is going to have his hands full with the young talent but that young talent has enough to explode so here's to getting the dynamite out and lit.!!

I'm with you on the Canada situation. An offensive mind like his isn't going to be quiet when he has to stand on the sidelines and watch a predictable offense being called week after week. I'm hoping this is a situation whereby Tomlin is looking to see how Canada fits in with the Team and Staff and also gives him an option if he were to punt Randy to the unemployment line.

I hope Ike Hilliard brings his A game. He wasn't a bad WR when he played - that should bring some value...
