Mike McCarthy Press Conferences

Why does someone have to be young to be hungry and innovative? And why is it assumed being young automatically equals hungry and innovative?

Most the younger generations I work with are hungry…but they’d like me to fix and bring them the sandwich, they may not even eat if someone doesn’t do them this solid.

Hungry doesn’t always align with able to feed oneself.

With all due respect to your personal bowling saga, I think the two situations are just a bit different. And why would you want to mess with a 215 average in the first place??
One reason was a couple summers ago I messed up my ring finger badly from bowling and I had to get a funky grip drilled to alleviate the pressure on that finger, but it put all the pressure on the middle finger. I switched back to normal grip and dropped down to 15#. Also my style was good for league bowling, but tournaments were iffy. Pro golfers / bowlers / athletes are always looking to tweak things and get better. As for Allar i know situations are different and I would think it is harder for someone at his level. He has to learn an NFL system along with new mechanics. It is a lot, but hopefully it works out

When you spend money on something , gear, tickets, etc.etc...you do feel like it's your team.
Except I stopped buying anything NFL related years ago.

I get it. Didn't know you were a pro bowler.

The good thing about having coaches that can improve his mechanics is that it can raise his skill to where his natural abilities allow him to compete or even excel at the highest level.

Without fixing and perfecting mechanics/technique many great athletes fail when they reach the highest level. It’s great to have a coaching staff that one can have confidence in,
You know…actually coaching and developing “the talent”

We have a Saskatchewan wine cellar. My wife's favorite wine went on sale for 10 bucks a bottle. So I bought two cases and stuck it in the basement. 2025 was a good year for Jackson Trigs.
At the hockey pre-game parental "warmup" in the parking lot, it's common to have wine boxes (easy transport) and large insulated tumblers filled all the way up. Many sip on these for the entire game, which explains why hockey moms are sometimes more fun to watch in the stands in the 3rd period than the kids on the ice.

Have to disagree that Allar was "fine" when throwing in rhythm. He was still inaccurate on many of those throws. He needed to revamp his footwork, and that process has begun. If Drew can get that part of his game straightened out, and play with more confidence because of it, the Steelers might have something.
If I said fine I’m sorry. I meant exceptional. In rhythm without pressure his footwork and accuracy was exemplary. When the pocket broke down or he had to move off his point it went to hell.

And God bless hot hockey moms.
