I'm gonna guess camp depth or replacement for Golden
 
Doesn't look very good. Mitchell can still do what this dude does and so can Golden or anyone else. This dude is definitely at the bottom of the barrel. At least Bostic has some potential if he stays healthy.

Definitely should've kept Golden over this guy.

This isn't to replace Mitchell, or start. It's gonna be a cheaper, better option to Golden.

Not surprising they’re kicking the tires since they were also talking to Slater. The longer this goes on, the more I think they think they already have their starting safeties in house. Or at least are comfortable starting day 1 while a rookie develops

We don't have the luxury of signing special teams specialists. If you are on the roster, you should be prepared to play special teams. We can't afford to pay someone just to play special teams and take up a roster spot.
