I don't think Munchak ever played for Tomlin
still wondering if you are going to address my question about which players who left the Steelers were better with another team.....
Munchak didn't want to play for Tomlin anymore. If he missed his family, why did it take so long to move on? Yep. I almost never hear a positional coach say I cannot be here anymore, I miss my family.
I warned everybody losing Munchak would hurt. When Bell was hurt or suspended, I pointed out Bell's back up did just as good. In some cases better.
Bell's an over rated player who happened to play when our line was at its peak with pro bowlers, flanked by excellent weapons and Ben. As predicted he won't be as good on another team, and proved his low worth in one of his prime years. He could be 3rd on the depth chart in NY. I predict a sub 1,000 yard season for Bell, with a lowly yards per carry under 4.0. The Jets are stuck with him this year. Good luck Adam Gase!
As a man Bell lied to his teammates and coaches while mocking 4-20. I'll leave his relationships off the field alone as titles his own business.
Coach lacks reading comprehension. He's 60 and wanted to live in Denver with his family that just had his first grandchild. Not tough to understand that. Especially since coaches aren't scrambling to leave this town, after 13 years of our current head coaches tutelage.
You just like to repeat things that aren't true until you start believing it.
Wex's board, was a bit more than a no fly zone. As a two time DWI loser who had a lot of issues, Wex never gave anyone a chance for redemption. You figure he should have. If said anything negative on Tomlin for example you were out even if it was warranted.
Emmanuel Sanders is probably is the best of them.
probably the best of the offensive players that left....
Bell AND Brown had the perfect scenario here. They had a tough QB who made everyone better & put up with alot of bullshit until Browns finally pissed him off & Ben said "Get him the **** out of here"...
3 potential HOF's playing together at QB, RB, & WR...But 2 of the 3 didn't realize how together they could have re-writtten history. You couldn't stop ALL THREE...
The Killer B's could have gone down as the greatest QB, RB, & WR of all-time. I hate what ifs, but "What if" these guys stayed around and we had the Killer B's with that Killer D last year?

Nate Washington 354rec 5249yds 32TDs

Tomlin was a very sensitive subject over there as you know. When we started the "3 playoff wins in X years and then 9 years" argument just pointing out the obvious that Tomlin has underachieved with talent on hand, half the board went crazy trying to pin the blame on Ben and absolve Tomlin.
I won't argue that. It got bad. It just got so disingenuous that I canceled my decade-long subscription and never looked back. That said, I appreciate Jim Wexell's knowledge of the Pittsburgh Steelers and their history (his book 'The Men of Steel' should be required reading).
Just don't let stupid politics guide your decisions about something, unless it's really blatant is all I'm probably saying. That IanWhetsone d-bag though, what an uppity little *******.
A hard lesson though. The meat of Ben's career was lost unfortunately.
The problem started when they let AB get away with **** they normally wouldn't. Where were the other team leaders? Bell saw what AB got away with. He figured why not me. For good reason. I take this up the ladder. To Tomlin. And even higher. General Manager...also Ownership. They all knew what was going on with AB. Let it happen. Then paid the piper years later with nothing to show for it. Hopefully it was a lesson learned. A hard lesson though. The meat of Ben's career was lost unfortunately.

Wex is a rear end kisser. He thought by covering for people, he'd gain access. This started with Kordell Stewart, and continued on to Tomlin. Tomlin owes his job to Ben, not the other way around. Also at that forum, you were not allowed to say Rooney Rule.
I have not checked back in years, is there anything left?
I think he's also been on the straight and narrow for a couple decades now. He had a couple run-ins with other sports journalists who knew how to rile him up (which is actually no excuse, he should've known better). But he never booted anybody for being critical of Tomlin, unless they were also just a complete ********. Which is quite likely. Makes perfect sense now why he booted you.

...He was one of the reporters who campaigned a bit for draft picks and sometimes anointed practice squad players a solutions, which I always felt was crazy.
