Can we maybe stop drafting and acquiring over-emotional, immature, hot head WRs? If Carnell Tate is falling in April, trade up and get that man.

Yes, but we all know that Mike Tomlin can't maintain his eight wins a season unless he has a few elite players to keep him afloat.

In the offseason they need to completely rethink this WR room and if they really want to keep Metcalf.
40 million in guaranteed money voided now. I’d try and move him this off season.
Draft a couple WRs in the second and third round and stop drafting head cases you think can be fixed because Tomlin has fixed no one.
You better hope Metcalf is not needed in Cleveland or in that last game against the Ravens.

Metcalf's 17-game average is 75 receptions, 1089 yards, and 8 TDs. The answer isn't replacing him with a 2nd or 3rd. The Steelers need a volume guy to pair with him.
All day this. You don’t lessen that room if you don’t have to they already are pretty underwhelming.

He’s got 59 reception for 850 yards in 15 games so had he played the last two games maybe something like 66-67 receptions and close to 1000 yards.
He can easily be replaced next year with a younger, faster quality WR. Those numbers won’t be hard to duplicate and at a much cheaper rookie contract.
I’d Want to go younger and go number two and first three on a WR.
And if you could get a number two for Metcalf which at this point I doubt it, but if you could, I’d use that pick instead of the no 3 for the other receiver.
Metcalf has never been this great receiver some of you seem to think he is. Lots of drops and not good at contested balls.
He’s just a big, physical player who’s not the greatest route runner. His big thing is getting deep.
This was a bad trade and a bad contract but at least 40-45 million is void because of his stupidity.

Agree or disagree with the move...like they did by trading Pickens without a plan to add a WR2.
I'm not sure I'd say easily. In the past two drafts, Brian Thomas Jr. (23rd), Malik Nabers (6th), Ladd McConkey (34th), Tet McMillan (8th), Emeka Egbuka (19th), Marvin Harrison Jr. (4th).
Brian Thomas had a monster rookie season and has been a big disappointment in year 2.
Malik Nabers is the real deal.
Ladd McConkey slipped on the depth chart after a strong rookie season.
Marvin Harrison Jr. had an underwhelming rookie year given his draft status and has been disappointing in year 2.
The depth chart is shallow as it is. The prospect of having to start Ja'Kobi Lane, Germie Bernard, Skyler Bell, Omar Cooper Jr. isn't very inspiring. Now if you have DK Metcalf paired with a Carnell Tate, Makai Lemon, or Denzel Boston, you have the base for a much better passing offense.

Is there not an EVENT SECURITY person sitting right where the incident happened..... I have never seen a situation where an altercation between fans and players didn't have the fan being removed by security/police immediately after the incident

Not excusing DK's actions, it was dumb and he shouldn't have been near this guy. Stay on the bench with your position group. However, I've read accounts from fans who have been banned from NFL games for less.

The team still has zero #1 WR. Metcalf simply is not a # 1.
I think he’s a number 2 and the contract is way too high for that caliber of player.
I still think he drops too many passes, is not good in contested catches and not the best route runner.
Seattle was all to obliging to move on and they actually do have a #1.
I’m for moving on from him and going after two young WRs in the draft. Also, there’s FA they can look at.
Pickens has million dollar talent and 10 cent brain.
Metcalf does not have million dollar talent but does possess a 10 cent brain. Stupid ******* like him make me hate what the league has become.
That’s what Tomlin seems to attract. It’s all about them and **** the team.
No thanks! He’s not someone you can depend on in the future. You simply cannot have a short fuse when playing in the NFL.

DK went up to the fan......so many wrong things on DKs part. Even if the fan said what DK said he said... if DK wouldn't have wandered over in that area(knowing that fan would be there)all of this wouldn't have happened. He wouldn't have heard the fan say(n-word,c-word)...if the fan even said them at all.....because the fan wouldn't have said them only because DK wasn't in the area for the fan to say them.
Bottom line players can't be assaulting fans.....not a good look for the NFL.
Totally agree. If the NFL really is wanting to curb these type of instances ok suspnd dk. But also cuff and escort out the fan. His forfeiture of future games as well as leaving the current game is a huge step in deterring fans from confronting the players as well.
To be clear on my part ..... DK's actions were selfish & stupid ..... they deserve consequences and he will pay dearly for a very poor decision on his part. The police and event security seems to be pretty lax compared to anything I have experienced when attending sporting events ..... mostly in Pittsburgh, Detroit and Buffalo for the NFL games I have attended in the past
Drunken fans ruin the experience of attending games for me along with some of the total douche bags you can run into...... that don't know how to act as a human ....
i went to the cincy game at heinz field this year. IDK if the guy was even drunk , he was sitting behind me with his mother or old looking gf.. idk.
he constantly cussed f bombs etc talking to the steelers team as if he was controlling them from his seat. F **&$@ tomlin why you putting so and so in the &&^(@ game.. ? etc.. ruined it for me because i was sober And knew not to do anything . If i were lit i would have told him to stfu or die,,, So im glad i was sober.
my brothers friend was there with his 11 yr old daughter,, her first game.. Which is what really got me.
