Thanks for putting in the work. We're all Steeler fans here (hopefully) so even if we don't agree on prospects or needs, we know we're wanting what's best for the team we root for.

Claypool would be a steal in the 7th. He has everything you want, especially for a big guy. He may not run sub 4.5 but he can be like another TE out there on the field specifically for pass catching. And, I don't think it will take him long to be better than the other taller WR's on the team.

Claypool was special at Notre Dame. He runs well and has deceiving speed. He highpoints the football better than anyone I have ever seen. If he runs anywhere close to 4.5 at the combine he may go in second round. I promise you he is no going to be anywhere near 7th rd.

Claypool has some George Kittle in him. Nice looking prospect.

We don't use tight end very much . Wouldn't waste our 2nd Rd. Pick on one. Same with a nose tackle. I would go with an o lineman , dlineman or olb for buds replacement next year. Cut chick. Maybe ola too. Not too impressed by him so far.

Claypool is a WR. He is big, though, and can do a lot of things a receiving TE can.

We didn't use tight end very much last year but I believe it to be an outlier year. With Ben coming back, it's going to change things significantly IMO.

I would agree with you 100 %, but why wouldn't they use the TE as a security blanket for our 2 back up qb's. Seems like fichtner moved away from them in favor of blocking.
