Mason Rudolph.....

Time will tell. He will almost certainly be the #2 QB if he continues to progress.

The more I read and hear about this guy it seems in time he will be able to compete in this league.

Seems to be just another game manager to me.

We'll see when they put the pads on. He sounds like a winner but they all do at OTA's. Can't wait to see him in camp and pre-season.

I love this draft pick. It seems to have taken the drama out of Ben's season by season approach.

If Rudolph proves to be the real deal we might be able to trade and get something for Jones.

So far Mason is off to a fast start.

Jarvis Jones looked like a double digits sack man in his first OTA

Apples and oranges. Qb's actually have to make reads, show an arm and be accurate. I don't see how a pass rusher can stand out in OTA's

We won't know until we have at least a sample size to evaluate. I'm not holding hope.

Never a bad report about a guy in minicamp.

And never heard a good report from Jones, Dobbs or any other QB since Ben in mini camps. Plus their first preseason years were bad. Terrible for Jones, incremental improvement each game for Dobbs, and Ben was fantastic. I'm excited to see what he will do in preseason. I'm pretty sure, they will give him some first half work, and it will be a good gage to see how he looks against NFL talent.

Well, Jones and Dobbs were third-string talent with a small chance to eventually develop into an average backup at best. Rudolph has future starter potential.

I thought it was just people were excited because he fell in the draft. I can't remember any great reports. I even gave the one training camp report that Heyward got in his *** for being the only player sitting on a bench. He was nursing a groin, but for some reason the whole team was up and standing. Not ol Jarv. I remember thinking then, this isn't good to see such a negative so early in a career.

Jarvis was slow by combine stats, but he also lacked great motivation. The type that can overcome a shortcoming.

I think Jarvis gave good effort. He just did not have talent. Too weak, to slow, not big enough...

You seen sprinkles of good effort. I never took him for a consistent try hard.

There is something about both Rudolph and Washington that will transcend into something special. Both were steals in this draft and will be special players.

Rudolph is a very intelligent kid with a great work ethic and has the hunger to learn. He has the talent and the prototypical size yore looking for in a QB. I’m excited to see him in training camp and in the pre season.

Washington imo has it all.Sound route running, good hands, not afraid to fight for the ball, and explosiveness after the catch. Oh yeah, scouts didn’t like his size that much. They didn’t like AB’s either.
And both these guys seem to be no nonsense, great attitude guys and not the diva types we’ve grown accustomed to around here.
Looking forward to seeing them both progress.

I love Rudolph's smarts and passion.

He has a golden ******* opportunity to bust his *** and become the successor to Ben and play for the greatest franchise in the nfl.

The interesting thing about Jones was he had the highest QB metric in that draft. It's the metric that uses games started, completion percentage, TD percentage, and wins. Thought we had the outside shot at the steal in the draft because of it. Turns out he has trouble reading to adapting defenses and his consistency didn't translate to the pros, unless he's playing the Browns.

Though I do have to give Jones some credit for beating the browns twice the last week of the season. He did it with a backup center and second string skill players. Came from behind on a game winning drive and finished them off in OT the first year.

If you just watched him play, you knew he wasn't going to amount to much in the NFL. In fact, with some of his play last year, I think he exceeded his ceiling.

If MR is indeed a franchise QB(I know but let’s say we know he’s a winner) the Steelers have to entertain the idea to “Peyton Manning” Roethlisberger. A great way to win nowadays is to have a franchise QB under a rookie contract and spend elsewhere to bolster positions. Trade Ben while you can still get something for him and then go get some linebackers, tight ends, rb’s.

Problem is they won't know without him being in game time decisions. So barring injury which we don't want. They can think all they want but I am sure they would rather see. Which by the time they get to see, Ben will likely be on the way out anyways..
